The Bachelors’ “Walk with Faith in Your Heart” became my inspiration song on the pursuit of my ambitions and plans in life. I love singing this song. Every time I heard this song, I recall the trials and the challenges I have encountered and were able to overcome because of my faith.

Let’s take a good look to the first and second stanza of the song’s lyrics:

Walk with faith in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
For with faith in your heart
The world is your own

You never will grieve
If in him, you believe and
Walk with faith in your heart

I just rely on this song whenever I may go, whatever I do. I found the answer to this spiritual journey I had been pursuing since I was a teenager sometime in April 1980. I became a new creature, a new being, leaving my old sinful ways. I went down to the water of baptism. In my infancy of membership in the Church, I began to realize that all my prayers have been answered. My happiness couldn’t be fathomed, couldn’t be measured.

I couldn’t imagine that I may have the opportunity to hold the Priesthood of God and do the ordinance of baptism to my wife, to my 6 children. To perform ministerial duties and responsibilities to the members of the Church, and to lead my family towards the part of righteousness. We became one in faith, one in baptism and one in the Lord, accepting the sonship and divinity of Jesus Christ as what our faith leads us to believe.

Our own family, all of us are sealed for time and eternity in the sacred ordinances of the temple of God. We’re doing our best to stay closer to the Church so that we could make our family stay together, forever.

@nakitakona13 I always had a little faith. There is no one who can help me spiritually. I cling to my faith to survive in this world. My faith was proven strong as struggling to cope up of my father’s death 2 years ago. It was a big challenge and challenges for the family.

@nakitakona13/

I have faith in God, always looking up to HIM for help in any matter.

Gladly to say, sometimes I get an answer, sometimes, I don’t but still I thank HIM for saying no sometimes.

HE is a cool GOD

@shavkat, I am very sorry to hear the sad fate of your father. It is timely that you remember your father who’s the central figure in the celebration of the Father’s Day. I also miss my beloved father who had died several years. I still remember his values he had left me, which I also nurture and put them to practice.

Your little faith is more than enough to make things going spiritually. A faith as little as a mustard seed is what we need to believe and to make miracle happens. I know it and it does happen.

@peachpurple, your faith has made you strong and firm in yourself. Because of such faith you have had in God, your knowledge has been improved. Your sense of belongingness to other’s well-being is put to its firmness. God bless you for that. Maintain that kind of faith for I know it will be done. It’s God’s will. So be it!

@nakitakona13 Thank you for my message about my father. I know it happens for a reason. I was in denial during that time and refused to think that it will happen. But then, I realized that life is not perfect. Death will come and it can never be denied to happen.

@shavkat, you’re absolutely correct. We’re very sorry that our father is already gone. By the way, I was very sorry to hear the untimely death of one of our employees working in our Division Office. She met a car accident early this morning together with her hubby. She is in a hurry to catch her flight when their service car  hit the back of the parking truck along the road. She died on the spot, while her hubby was brought to the nearest hospital in our capital city.

She’s going to take a vacation to her daughter in Manila when that freak vehicular accident happened. We”re so sorry to learn about that. Our office greatly mourns for her death.

@nakitakona13 That’s really a tragic end. I felt sad for you and the family members. I can’t imagine if this situation will happen to me. I would rather see my loved one get sick and dies at natural cause. My deepest condolence to your lost.

I always believed that God will help me when it is necessary.

Not every wish that I had prayed for will be granted but He will help me if I asked sincerely.

when I have nothing to ask, I pray for my parents safety and health.

For world peace and stop the dying from dying.

It wouldn’t be that difficult for God, is it?

@peachpurple, if you reading the Bible, it is simply and plainly mentioned there that prayer should be done daily and incessantly. Many, especially those who considered themselves as Christians have failed to follow this task on the fequency of praying. In the new Testament of the said Holy Book, Jesus Himself has set an example on how to pray while He was in the garden of Gethsemane while His disciples were asleep.

If we have a strong faith, unwavering faith in God for that matter, it won’t be hard for us to do the prayer everyday. It is good for you, you pray for your parents, for the country, for everything. What you have done is another way of making your faith works. Since I found the truth, the fullness of the Gospel about the Lord’s ministry here on earth, that is sometime in 1980, prayer became my way of life. Everything I am doing I always give thanks to the Lord in the form of a prayer. When I go to sleep, when I wake up, when I am about to eat and leave the house for a work, prayer is what I do.

But the point of caution when we pray, we should pray as what we are dictated by the promptings of the Spirit. We should not pray just the hypocrites. They pray in public, but deep in their heart, their intentions are too far for the humanity.

@nakitakona13  I am a Reiki channel. I have faith in what it does to me.

Having said that I am spiritual and do not have much faith in religious rituals.

July 9, 2016 at 1:19 pm

@bestwriter, me too I don’t believe or faith in any religion ceremonies, rites or rituals. My faith is in God. It is in Jesus Christ. I am not comparing you with our ordinances that we do in the Church and inside the Temple. We do respect other beliefs, other faiths just like yours. It is godd that you have your faith. You are entitled to what you believe in, to what you cling into which is true as you see, feel and do.

We may be different in what we define of faith. I don’t know if my faith is different from you. My faith is what the scripture says about it. I may quote the Bible for that. And it says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1, KJV) What we see, therefore, around us is a strong evidence that God does exist, but we haven’t seen Him.

Faith helps me to be strong. I am believing into something I am not seeing. Like having faith that I will be cleared with this illness. By praying, it is keeping me solid. It is my bullet whenever I feel weak and disappointed. I always have stress but praying is what keeping me calm. I think I have a solid faith because there is nothing/no one to cling to but GOD. Sometimes even your own best friend and family will get tired of your agony but God never will. He is always at my back. He is keeping my faith strong.

I am happy to know that you have a strong faith in God, @peachpurple. Because of that spiritual disposition within yourself, you are blessed more, and even it is beyond your expectation. You are correct then that faith without works won’t work or will never be effective. It is being strengthened and even solidified by a humble act of praying. Prayer makes everything possible. It is because of an unwavering faith.

God is always there to those who have believed in Him, to those faiths that are unconditional. Those people said to have  unconditional faith are those believers who never expect something big. The happiness that they feel within themselves are enough, and when they are free from any sickness is another one. Let’s take the example shown by Abraham, who is considered as the man of faith. He has never ever complained when his only son, Isaac is asked by God for an offering. Did Abraham resist? No.

Wow @nakitonnda this is very inspiring and what you have shared is actually true for those that believe. We are actually nothing without Faith. like it is written in the bible Faith without works is nothing. when we want to do something we have to have the faith that we can actually do it, otherwise we won’t be able to do it. so it is very important to put faith first in everything that we do.

July 18, 2016 at 5:42 pm

Your right @peachpurple sometimes God may not answer us the way that we want him to answer us or maybe we ask for something and he does not give it us because he knows best there is always a reason to it. remember his ways are not our ways so when he answers he ma answer in a way that we do not expect but its for a good reason. even when you do not have something to pray to God just saying thank for loving me is enough for him for he is a gracious God.
