Your real name, not your name you chose on here? My real first name is Amy and I like it okay. Its not too common around here.

Well, I can’t really say that I love it or not. At the time when I hdt to chose what to make as my username, this pen name seemed more than appropriate. I do tend to be very fast and I like blue color a lot, but it was not a reason why I chose it. My real name is very interesting, but I decide not to use it as mostly people can’t pronounce it. I also had problems to explain why I have that name, where I am from – so, finally I decided to just leave all that aside and use something fun and entertaining. But, a fact is that I didn’t chose my name over a fun fact, but over something else. Some time ago I experience a circulation problems and I end up with a condition causing me temporary phases of the blindness in combination with terrible pain. I got some medication to deal with it and one of them, a painkiller, was named Rapid, the pills were brightly blue colored. As I was dependent on them to stay normal and pain-free, I decided to use it as my writing name on one site. Later I just extended the same to other websites.

I love the fun fact! | |
peachpurple is my username. I do not use my real name when I am writing online. It is better to keep my real name under low profile. I don’t want my family members nor relatives to know what I wrote online. My son loves peach and purple color. Whenever I asked him what color he wanted, he would choose peach or purple. Hence, that is how my username was born; peachpurple However, my fellow writers on other sites called me “Peachy” that sounds great too. I never thought of that. Hence, given a chance, I would rename “peachy” but not for now. Majority of my friends here and there still knows me by “peachpurple”
I like my real name but in online world, I decide to hide it. I dont think it is necessary to disclose that information. As far as usernames are concerned, I check the website and decide what am I supposed to do there. the usernames are kept in accordance with that. So, on different websites, I have different usernames. I am OK with the way it is because it is with a purpose.
I do not have a problem with my name. Sometimes, I feel uncomfortable telling other people my name. I am not sure why, but when I do it feels like it doesn’t belong to me. I am not sure if that makes sense but that is how it feels to me. I do not use my real name on most sites except for FB. I use the same username on all my sites unless they automatically use my email address. I came up with my username because it was the name of my first pet and it is unique enough that I usually do not have to come up with numbers to go with it.
I like my real name, especially how I got it!! 😉 Not many people spell their first name like mine.
I love my real name too. Grecy is my nickname, not my real name. My real name is….. My father named me. I love it although it sounds a regular name in my place. Sometimes I hate it when I am getting NBI Clearance because most that had the name the same as mine has a crime committed. I need to a week for verification before I able to renew my clearance.
My name is very long Erly Bernanditha Samantha Kaye, so long but it was made short by a lawyer and judge in court Erly , or else, I cannot graduate.
@Jo Dee, You are right, others have other spelling of a name like yours like Judy, Judie, Juday hehehe, so awesome.
@grecy, hahaha, we have the same problem. I better did not change my long name because when I applied for NBI and renewed last year, I was not granted with a renewal because NBI said I have a pending case. My goodness, I trembled in fear for I haven’t committed a crime. The only thing that acquitted me of that is my address and middle initial. I went to city prosecutor’s office, hired a lawyer , paid them and was acquitted in a day. That was a very tiring moment. Huh, what a scary thing. It took me 3 months to acquire renewal of my NBI.
@peachpurple, heheheh, nice legend of your on line name. You are so famous as peach thinking that your name is Peach.Your son is so wise giving you the legendary on line name.
I do like my real name. It is a derived from a Spanish name of my grandfather. It is a common first name who lives in America. In some instances, people can easily say my nickname because of it. My late grandma suggested the name to my parents. However, in my childhood years, I always get sick and the family started to change my nickname as George. As I grow older and overcame of being a sickly child turned to be a healthy young adult.
@shavkat here in my country, when you get sick on your baby years, they will change your name. Every time it does, the child avoid being sick. @lovern that serious, even it is not your name? Oh no. It freaks me out. I haven’t gone that far because they will trace your parent’s origin and their origin/family tree but they need to do it for a week. On some instances, even before a week.
Yes i do like my name “SHOHANA” 🙂 |
