When I was a child, my parents usually have a punishment in times of lying something. They tend to let us face the wall for a period of time. I guess it is not bad. The only makes me feel so weary is when standing for a long time. I think it is fine to punish children to know the wrongdoings. It wasn’t like Pinocchio that nose will point to one direction. Any experience like this?

I have told a lie to my parents to save myself from being punished every time I went home late in the evening. I also told a lie when I needed money for my vices. Our eldest brother had a good business and he was always the person whom I asked for financial assistance. Punishing us for such bad habit is permissible or the parents should have the right to do it. Now I am also a father of six. I gave due punishment to my erring children and explained to them their mistakes. I let them make an amend for their misgivings.

It is not an obligation for the parents to discipline their children when they do err. The Bible itself is so declared that if the parents spare the rod, their children would be spoiled. Aside from giving the appropriate punishment the children, an open communication would also do good things for the good behavior development of the child.

@Shavkat, me too , when I was a child, I broke our very big jar, antique and it accommodates many gallons of water, but one day, I climbed its location and was able to push it down.When my father knew what happened he called us one by one , but I told a lie, but later father knew it was me,and he got he told me to stand facing the basketball court.Those who saw me pitied me, but when I grew up, I learned it was a very effective way of disciplining a child; unlike this time , some parents no longer have time to even bond with their children, how much more in disciplining them, no more.

@nakitakona13 Being a parent is really a tough job. In some situation, parents are head spinning especially if a problem child cannot be disciplined. It takes a matter of time for the child to behave appropriately. As some parents, they still think that children go to the stage of maturity. Children have the rights to be in such situation will resort to punishment. But I can’t accept the fact of corporal punishment to children, it will not help. Thus, it will create scars of hatred and be rebellious to their parents.

@lovern Nowadays, children are becoming little monsters. Teens are becoming wild. I also think that parents at these days cannot control their children. It is totally different during the old days. Simple punishments that we receive before can no longer effective. Some parents are really looking for the best option to discipline their children.

@Shavkat, That is so true, many young children this time lack respect to their parents and even the elders among children they do not respect. They seem alienated .They also do not like to be corrected. They are badly influenced by technology and media.That is why I better want to say the youths of yesterday are better than the youths of today.The today’s youth could have advantage of the past in terms of technology, but they forgot many finished good education without goggle.

@lovern I totally agree with you. I had seen so many children and even teens fall into the category of out of school youth. I also had my share with this kind of dilemma. The youngest sibling doesn’t listen and I continued to give him advice. I am asking for a miracle this time.lol

@Shavkat, Hi friend? hehehe.I have just arrived from work, after eating my super I open Lb right away, at least you are there to exchange discussions. That is true some young in this generation this time seems hard headed.They want to explore and experiment, that is why there are so many unwed mothers.many too young to get pregnant and only regret what they have done.The result, it’s their parents they can run to.

@lovern I cannot say anything but to agree more. I randomly do some comments while teaching online. I do it in between my classes. The experience of LB members is so inspiring. Since they have their payment. I am so jealous.lol

@Shavkat, hehehehe don’t feel jealous for they are ahead of us ,plus they are full time earners compared to us we have other work.On my part I am super busy for tomorrow I am going to administer prelim exams , then check the test papers, so by next week return to the result to the students. I just minimize the test items to 75 items hehehehe.How could I do other on line activities fast when i am only here every evening.let us just wait for our turn to get paid.

@lovern Are you a teacher? Wow! That’s a tough job.lol I also teach online but it wasn’t that hard in terms of workload. I was also thinking to teach in a university. However, I am on the practical side. They are the first one who landed in LB. I agree to that.

@Shavkat, yeah, i am a university associate professor. My passion is  writing.During college, I was the literary editor in our school paper, then I also edit books. Last year, I was hired editor of a local magazine in Mindanao.The pay was high, but it was mismanaged and foreclosed. I am also bored in school so I find ways to amuse myself. I been an on line writer for 7 years now. Only in this site and the other site having a very small pay. The previous sites, high. i usually received 30,000 a month. I missed that site Applewood Consultancy from France.

@lovern Wow! That’s a huge amount of money to have. I only write here and ML. I don’t have any other sites. You might share it.lol I had created a book and it hasn’t been published. I am looking for an illustrator and it costs an arm and a leg to have their service.

@Shavkat, That is true, so big and i enjoyed it monthly for 1.5 years. There is a site I can recommend to you,try to apply at Mykites. The people here are also bloggers there, but the difference there is we can post only 100 characters. There are only few people there, but the site pays. There are also mylotters there hehehehe.Another site, where earning is high is: rabadaba. I was told about this by a lotter birju danak. He earns there $ 80 a month. I am not yet a member there.Try them.

@Shavkat, Hi friend? Have you applied to those sites I mentioned here? By the way, you are right some young children this time are having monster like attitude. I am so worried about their future. If they do not want to be corrected, there is a tendency that they might be trapped with the bad elements.The parents have the right to impose the right disposition to discipline their children. I think it is not easy to become parents.

When we were younger our parents never gave us room to make mistakes because then you would be punished thoroughly and after that you wouldn’t make you want to make a mistake again. we used to get beatings and long lectures about being obedient, not like in the states where kids are not beaten your only told to go to time out sometimes I wonder does that punishment really work at the end of the day.
