I am pretty sure there is no crisis management in every companies. If there is, the companies don’t usually address the issues or concerns. I think we need to have a short course about dealing crisis in our working place. It should not always by the book. Instead, we need to know from the experts based on their experiences. The failure of certain projects are due to mismanagement. If we are going to dissect the main root of the problem, the first flag of crisis was not properly resolved. The problem will continue to persist. At the end, it was a major failure. We cannot put ourselves to blindness since it is the real fact.

I was told when working at IHOP if someone came in to rob the place to simply fall out (down). We were also told we could break a window if need be to escape from a fire. I think in certain situations they do need a crisis management like in schools. Teachers need to know what to do in case of emergency no matter what that emergency is. America has too many school shootings and in certain parts of the country have bad weather sometimes that can cause tornados and such. | |
@evilelf I do agree on that. Schools should always have random drills for fire or any bad events as you mentioned. In my country, they do have such drills. However, it wasn’t done as often as it should be. I strongly recommend having such crisis management in any establishments. |
