Are you an American, yes? Americans have a tendency to overlook mental illness until a tragedy strikes. In order to be taken serious, you sometimes have to up play the symptoms in order to get the help you actually need. I have never gone to the hospital when I had issues, only because I don’t want my ex-husband knowing about my personal life. I tend to suffer alone. I have never hallucinated but I do get where I am deeply depressed and lose interest in everything. Sometimes people like us need to find people with similar issues and try to help each other out as much as we can. Depression is something not easy to get over. If you ever need someone to talk to I am more than willing to listen without passing judgement.
I believe the hospital staff needs to take a lesson in treating others how they would want to be treated. It is just sickening how some of these doctors and nurses treat patients!
I appreciate your being so open about it and that is a sure way that you will get out of it. My wishes are with you.
Yes, I am American. Thanks for the offer to talk EvilElf. Will take you up on it if needed. |
