I just knew there is this National Doughnut Day celebrated in United States as I saw the crochet doughnut pattern from Repeat Crafter Me. It is on the first Friday of June every year. I was quite surprise to know that the history of Doughnut Day was back in 1938, which was as a fund raiser for The Salvation Army. I have read that some doughnut shops in United States, such as Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts are offering free doughnut on the Doughnut Day. There are even sites where you can check where you can get free doughnut. If you have missed it this year, you can check it out next year, for those who are staying in United States. I might crochet one or two doughnuts for my children, just for fun. I have not crochet any doughnuts before, but only hand sewed a felt one. If you would like to crochet the doughnut, this is the free pattern from Repeat Crafter Me: Crochet Donuts

Nice day, but we do not have that celebration here in Phils. happy to know you have talent in crochet.I do not know crocheting.
@lovern I think we do not have them in Malaysia as well, but it’s good to know such a day, and I hope we celebrate the Doughnut Day as well, as my children and I like doughnuts! 😀 I don’t really have talent in crocheting, I just learned how to crochet two years ago, and always like to make some toys for my children, just for fun! It can be an addictive hobby once you learn how to hook! 😀
