have you seen this movie, Brimstone? Aside from the star-studded cast, the movie is quite good. It was set in the olden days when people lived in villages and small communities and is mostly guided by a Reverend or a Pastor. The actors who played the roles are Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, Kit Harrington..etc and they’ve played it so well. Guy Pearce is the bad guy in this movie and the antagonist is Dakota Fanning. The movie is also divided into 4 chapters, the first being one showing Dakota Fanning losing her family because of a vengeful Reverend, Guy Pearce. The second chapter will seem that it is a different story but it isn’t. Here you will see a young girl being sold to a brothel by a Chinese family. The girl grew up to be a courtesan and escaped that life when she was old enough. Anyway, I’m not good in reviewing movies actually. You can see for yourself whether you like the story or not. As for me, it is one of the best films I’ve seen recently without the hype and all the effects. It’s a good movie to watch. Certainly disturbing.

Thanks for the review. I seems like its a good movie. I will try to watch this movie later. Last night while I was on this site, my daughter suggested that I watch “Abstract: The Art of Design”. It is some sort of a documentary, but if you are into the Art side of life, it is cute.
I hope you’ll like it! It’s a good movie and the actors played their part so well. I especially admire Dakota Fanning for growing up to be a mature actress. I did not even recognized her at first, thought it was just some actress who looked like her.

Nice review. So this is basically a serious, social movie?
It is. It’s also very disturbing but it is a great movie overall. The plot is great and the way it was portrayed and subdivided into 4 chapters is also a great way to keep the audience hook. I was about to fall asleep last night while watching the movie then it turned out to be a very interesting one so I stayed on and finished it. It’s worth a watch. 🙂 |
