Why do we need to pray though we know that God knows everything?

Why?because prayer Binds us to God, That’s why we tell God what He already knows,

He knows what we need of before we ask, but we are definitely specifically, unqualifiedly told to pray and to ask not to impress or inform God, but to invite God,
so that we might have that fellowship with Him, grow spiritually, and we would learn to depend upon Him,
GOD never wants us to live lives independent of Him if God just did everything for us and we never had to pray, soon we would begin to take things for granted, we would cease to depend upon Him.

Prayer is a way to feel connected with God.Prayer is hope in supreme power .Prayer gives us strength to face any problem with hope and courage.prayer diminishes our pain,so we need to pray.

@Manju, you are right, it is true that prayer is a powerful tool to face challenges in life.

It is always good to pray daily to connect with God as you have said. Just as the Bible is important for teaching us about who Jesus is, what He has done for us and who we are in Him, so also is prayer a key part of building a deeper and abiding relationship with God.

When we read the Bible, God speaks to us. When we pray, we speak to God. We know that we can pray directly to God and that He hears us. We long to hear God’s voice.

The reason for us to pray differs from each others needs. Mostly the first to be answered depends on your needs and not your wants according to our Pastor who shared the same thing to us. As a Christian, it is our duty and responsibility to pray for ourselves and for others.
