Wordpress and Blogger are the two most popular and widely used blogging platforms used by the bloggers worldwide. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Blogger is easy to use and set up. But they have limited themes and plugins. While WordPress offers a wide range of themes and plugins. Most of the professional bloggers use WordPress template. However there is one disadvantage of WordPress that if you use free WordPress blog then you won’t be able to incorporate any ads on your blog.

@shaloo walia I have both and I use different programs like adsense, Chitika and other advert programs but I feel I am more attracted to WordPress compared to blogger. I have closed to 70 followers on logger but still feel lonely there while I find WordPress much more lively.

@suny  I started blogging with blogger but moved to wordpress later. Now I find blogger quite dull as compared to wordpress which has so much to offer in terms of templates, widgets and plugins. WordPress has a more lively and active community compared to blogger.

I have always preferred WordPress to Blogger for everything – except monetizing a free blog. I like that WP is less WYSIWYG, and that there is a greater sense of community among WP bloggers. There is also more of an emphasis on quality of content.

The very best way to experience WordPress is through a self-hosted blog, which you can monetize. This allows for plugins as well

@Kyla Matton Osborne (Ruby3881) I was running a free blog on wordpress for three years because I didn’t know that I couldn’t monetize a free wordpress blog. I started a self-hosted blog earlier this year and I am in the process of shifting the entire content on my new website.

I wish we could share the links of our blogs here so that we could read and appreciated our fellow writers’ work.
