| This Christmas, I may not be happy celebrating Jesus birthday. I have to ask forgiveness for this, I know it is not good to feel negative during Christmas. Yes, I am indeed not happy this time.I hope on Christmas day my feeling would shift to a merry feeling. These are the reasons why I would not be happy. First and foremost, we do not have Christmas bonus in the university where I am teaching and this is so unfair to all teachers and staff . We do not know the reason why. There was no memo for a consultation of information dissemination why we won’t have bonus. Since I do not have Christmas, so I may not fulfill my goals this Christmas like feeding the street kids, giving gifts to children beggars and gifts to my friends. I may ask some forgiveness this time.I hope to make the street kids and beggar kids next year. The money I receive every Christmas, the bonus is spent for a charitable purpose. I cannot spend my salary for, I have to spend too for my family and myself, of course. The people in school chilled in anger ; no reason explained why, and it is against the law no Christmas bonus for all employees regardless of status. My colleagues would call the office of President Duterte and report this matter to send an official to conduct an investigation about this matter. We never like our university president, insensitive to the needs and cries of the employees.

| Oh.very sad to know about it. You should celebrate the festival happily. It is an annual festival. If you miss it again you will get only in the next year Better you celebrate it and do not link it with your annual bonus. Those things will come if not now after some time or the others along with arrears, but, not the festival. I remember pretty well last year just before the Christmas festival there was shooting by terrorists Dec, 2nd at Bardadinero. Everybody felt very unhappy over the incidents. Do you remember that? I could not control my anger and appeal to all not to celebrate the festival as a protest. I also made an appeal to the President of the online writers association not to post anything and denounce the ghastly incident in the strictest terms. So, we can not anticipate anything. Be happy as far as possible and celebrate the festival without waiting for the Bonus. | |
| It is a pity my be your employer has low income in their account, But this is not stop you from being happy, Even for me I believe that everyday is a good day and you must be happy everyday since you alive. Some of people have died and some even at prison etc. while won’t you be happy. | |
| I will like to call your attention to a particular year on the close Christmas day like this, everybody was happy and rejoicing that about two days to Christmas, when the company send the memo from the headquarter that the head will do meet with all branches under. | |
| @siva,you are indeed a very nice adviser hehehe.Thank you so much for helping me clear the cobwebs of my mind. Actually, one important reason is, I used to feed some street kids every Christmas and give toys to beggar kids and the money I spend for these derived from my Christmas bonus more than $1000. This is money and so useful to me and to my family. I also buy gifts for my siblings at home. I could still give my family special gifts from my salary I saved. I saved 10 per cent from my monthly income as a university lecturer. I may pass this time of the usual activity.I run out of budget .My bonus is supposed to be my only consolation to make other people happy. I hope I can make it next year. I have to save more so everyone I intend to give will be given and that would make sense. |
