I cannot describe my feeling feeding very poor and hungry children in our neighborhood. My feeling sucks seeing them eating as if there is no tomorrow. I understand why they eat that way; they are so starved. On that 2015 December morning, I called a neighbor to assist me to bring home very poor and hungry children. There are many of them living in shanties and squatters near the seashore. Their abode is always washed out by a flash flood every time a ferocious storm attacks in our country. I fed them with loaves of bread, spaghetti, famous pancit and juices, and that made their Christmas day memorable and unforgettable. This Christmas, I already set a goal to feed some street children in our city. I have to ask a permit this time because of the past occurrence many claim to be street children just to be fed. I was a terrifying mood for there were so many of them. I only prepared good for 40 children last year and appeared almost double because of some fake children. I hope to hire a police this time. There are so many ways how to share our little blessings and joys to others. Let us make helpless children this 2016 Christmas so their lives will be meaningful on Christmas day.

You really do have a great heart. God is going to bless you a thousand times over for helping his little angels. I do believe there are angels amongst us watching to see how we would react to certain situations. Some people do well with children or the homeless while others do well with stray animals. All need love no matter what walk of life they come from.
Doing a charity work is very good. Your deeds are much appreciated ma’am Cely. How I wish that all those who are blessed financially have a good heart for those who cannot afford to buy their basic needs. May God bless you more for doing things like feeding those street kids.
This is a good idea. Every festival should be celebrated with a broad outlook. It should be directed towards helping the needy and poor people Poverty is not a sin. The poor are poor because they lost something which they are rightfully and legally entitled . They missed it somewhere in the big world and somebody has been benefited. We may be one among them. Though not definitely, we are a part of this group. Let us donate and serve the poor and give them their share of happiness at least on this occasion when all are enjoying rich food, new clothes. Let us not feel proud of being feeding them. It is our duty and let us feel it. Even if we lose something in our attempt let us not worry about it, God will definitely give it in four times. The more you give the more you get. You got only to give but not for hiding it. God bless you. I made it a habit donating two pairs of clothes to the poor on Christmas festivalLast year I was in TRIVANDRUM, Kerala State, India for the Christmas festival. I purchased two pairs then and there itself and offered them to the poor. One happened to be an Auto Driver and another was a worker . They felt very happy. I did not expect anything from them God knows what to give me and what I am in need of. In the year 2011 for Ramzan festival after purchasing two pairs of dresses I hired an Auto and while getting inside I routinely inquired whetehr he was a Muslim. He replied ‘yes’. I without any hesitation gave a pair to the Auto Driver and asked him to take me to a Masque so that I can give another pair there to any poor person. He took me to the Mosque. When I went inside I could not find any person there. without any further thought I went inside and saw a Maulvi there. I kept the pair in his hands and sought his blessings. I do not know what he blessed me. People will wonder that just in a month I could get a brand new car without any search. The seller came and handed over the keys collecting just 20,000 rupees. The other person arranged for the loan. It was an i10 Car. Everybody was thinking that it was a brand new one. But not. I have been searching for a car for the last two years but I could not get any. But, how this happened only HE knows and he also knows why I should need it. These are life experiences which make us perfect human beings during our lifetime itself.
@evilelf, Thank you friend. I got this charitable thinking and feeling when I during college. During college, I was the president of many organizations that deal about leadership. I was so thankful that I was nominated an voted President of the Rotaract Club, under the umbrella of the mother Rotary Club , Cagayan de Oro chapter. I had so many activities done in the campus, outside the campus and outside the city to other regions in Mindanao , and Philippines. I feel the humanistic feeling towards humanity. I was an activist during college. My personality was shaped by many clubs where I was the head. I learned to feed hungry people. We fed first 20 very poor people living at the back of the YMCA building. I raised money for that cause. That day I and my co-Rotaractors fed the first 20 very poor people, our heart seemed twisted with too much pity. They were mostly old and clothes so beggary, plus so sickly. That day I thought, those very poor people forgot to smile. They cannot remember how to smile.Their face tells me and my companions that they carry heavy burdens.Yes, I feel what they feel. If I am only wealthy, I am going to adopt all those old and send them to doctors and feed them with nutritious foods. This Christmas, I set another goal what to serve to humanity. My country and your country are different. Here in the country where I live, poor people surround us.In your cuntry, no beggars that stay in a place where there are people to beg for money.Maybe they lack education for they have not improved their lives. God does give us all richness, but there are so many lazy and crazy.
@nehemia bayawa, Thanks girl, yes, if I am only wealthy, I am going to adopt many poor children, or if not grantees to educate themselves. I am always doing some charitable works. Whenever there is storm here, I donate many clothes, useful clothes , new clothes, shoes, and shoulder bags. I go to the affected are alone and bring something to feed them. I also solicit for them to my relatives in United States and some parts in Europe just t help feed the hungry. It is nit easy to feel the hunger. The mind cannot function well if hungry. That is why, I cannot blame those very poor and easy to be convinced by bad elements because of hungry. They like easy money like selling drugs. You, too, can help your community by doing some charitable works.God will be happy for us if help the needy.
@sivasubrahmanyam shatdarsanam, I am so impressed about the charitable works you did to your community.God is watching us He will always bless those whose heat is pure and innocent.God truly loves the innocents. Try to look at those beggars playing in dirty and muddy water, They never were sick of deadly sickness due to polluted water. They even walk barefoot. I am always doing charitable works. Even in Auckland, I give my nice clothes to their charity offices. I also act as garden volunteer there in Auckland Disability Programs of their NZ government. There is happiness extending our helping hands so that others may live through us. |
