I’ve posted a few times about how I need to have my impacted wisdom teeth out – well it’s happening on Tuesday!  I’ve been in quite a bit of pain the last few days and needing to take pain medication daily.  Luckily I met with the surgeon on Thursday and she had an opening for Tuesday morning.  They’ve given me a pill to take a few hours before I get to the office to help calm me down as I’m pretty nervous.

Since the teeth are impacted (never came through the gum), I’ll be having general anesthesia because they have to be cut out.  I’ll be out for about an hour and then have to stay there to wake up and such.  It sounds like I won’t feel well for 2-4 days but then be much better afterwards.  I’m actually looking quite forward to being rid of these teeth with all the pain they are causing!

Tooth pain is the hardest thing to deal with. All the systems are affected and cannot get enough sleep too. Don’t be worried. I am sure you will be fine before, during and after the operation. You will feel drowsy after the surgery due to general anesthesia.

@lola, I hope everything will be all right tomorrow,Tuesday. It is not easy to bear toothache. We only have one concentration if tooth is aching. I better have headache than toothache. It seems all body parts are affected. By the way, after tomorrow, happiness follows, no more ache.

@Shavkat, that is true, we only have one concentration if tooth is aching. We also feel irritated for we cannot find answer how to ease the pain. Whenever, I have tooth aching, I cannot sleep. I keep on dealing with my tooth that does not stop aching. The only remedy is pull the aching tooth at dentist’s chair.

@lovern My pain tolerance level is low. So I cannot endure a toothache. The best solution is to have an extraction of the tooth.

I am actually to the point of looking forward to it – I’ve had so many migraines caused by the pain!  I had another one last night and spent 6 hours in the emergency room waiting and then getting IV medications.  Tomorrow at 9:30am is my surgery.

I’m getting rather nervous now but I guess that is normal.  In the morning I will take a sedative pill to calm me down before I head off to the surgery office.
