There are so many things that we can find happiness and relaxation when traveling to unpopular places. Firstly, you don’t need to deal in a place that is overcrowded. Secondly, you can spend more time with your loved ones while on the go in traveling. Lastly, you can explore the place without tourists as background on taking photos. What do you think?

@Shavkat I agree with you that going to unknown or lesser visited places cost you lesser than some of the crowded tourist spots. I have been a regular with both kind of places but prefer popular places with family and lesser crowded with friends in order to explorer new adventures.
@Shavkat, If the place we like to tour is less populated, the prices are also less compared to crowded place where business too abusive selling something too high. There are also many scams , over pricing of hotels, fast foods centers and many more that tend to discourage the visitors to visit again in the future.
@suny It is nice to go to popular places too. I also do the same thing. However, if I am in the mood of switching off from the busy world. I will be in the less crowded places. Either way, I still enjoyed traveling to these places. @lovern I agree. The unpopular places offer less pricey products and accommodation. It is also peaceful place as the getaway adventure.
@Shavkat,But this time, those unpopular places become the abode of some bad elements.Like in the southern part in Mindanao, the Dakak, this is a very nice place, popular, but only few likes to go there. This resort is owned by former Rep. Jalosjos. We been there 5 years ago, and all I can say, is that place should have been like a paradise if not overruled by terrorists. All just want to sigh!
@lovern My main concern is safety. If the unpopular place is not safe, then I will not push myself to go in that place. I don’t want to put my life at stake. I still love myself not to have such extreme adventure in a danger zone place.
@Shavkat, That is right, it is so risky. When we went there, there were 120 of us teachers. When we passes the road after Iligan city some soldiers met us in the road, and you know what? they were so pitiful. There was no electric post in their area. They only have flashlight with them to avoid being caught by terrorists. There were only few of them sacrificing for our people; whereas, the heads like generals are protecting the drug lords. Then those committed soldiers told us not to pass the road “Tagitik” for there is always ambush there. We were told to use the barge, my goodness, it was already 9 in the evening and the university bus driver used the dim light to pass the forested road. When we went there, one Bachelor Express bus was burned 3 days before we passed there. Many pray the rosary. We were all in silence and pray. I promised not to go to that place again. I will share here the photo of Dakak. I don’t know if the size is acceptable by admin. DAKAK BEACH RESORT
@lovern I am sure it will be a terrifying moment if I am in your position. I can’t imagine why some people choose to be a terrorist. It is not ideal for the young generation. In some point, they tend to recruit the younger ones and molded to be like them. Their souls are on fire right now.
@Shavkat, That is right, they are manipulating the innocents with a promise of a better income. We cannot fathom their mind set why they want to kill when the reality is, humans are not born killers. My experience that year was hard to forget. We forgot our hunger, then we reached Dapitan city we made a stop to get rest in the hotel. There were 5 of us occupying in room hehehehe. No one likes to be alone, by pair , but as many for fear of the unknowns.
http://172.104.9.193/members/shavkat/ I prefer the beach, where it is a common place where any locals would visit except the tourists. So, we can just order take-away, dine there like a picnic trip, watch the sun set, watch the boat pass by, little anchovies popping the heads up once in the while and the windy breeze. Nobody takes photos there
@lovern That’s the reason why I cannot understand their way of thinking. In time, they will realize that being rebellious is not the answer for their particular demands. However, it doesn’t happen here in our country. I had also experienced this when I was in Central Asia. The international organization that I am working with pulled me out in my settlement area and transferred to the safest place. @peachpurple I also love traveling especially to the beach areas. Whenever I have the chance, I usually take all the time listening to the waves of the sea while sitting on the seaside.

First thing is when I decide to go to a place that is not touristy I am going there for the sole purpose of going to take some rest and just relax from the daily hussles of town life, that’s the advantage and then you also get to spend less there than you would have spent in a tourist destination.
@sauda That’s also one of the reasons I wanted to travel alone. I want to have “myself” moment. Living in the city is so stressful and a person should always have the time to feel relax. It is time to reboot one’s energy. Unfortunately, some people who are so hooked at work. They can switch off themselves from work even if they are on vacation.
For me the main advantage of going off the beaten path is the fact that such a trip would give the possibility to discover extraordinary places and things that are still underappreciated, and I can’t deny the fact that I don’t like overcrowded places, so choosing a less traveled destination would definitely allow me to enjoy more freedom of movement compared to a hugely popular destination where I would probably feel uncomfortable among so many people.
@sebaonciu I hope you are not having agoraphobia. I will definitely agree with your statement. There are so many unknown places that haven’t been explored by people. In my country, there are so many places which are not considered touristy. I am planning to explore it by next year or late this year. |
