I only use images from pixabay and from free photos from seraph engine. Actually, I prefer to have no images at all.It seems there is no correlation.

I have only been putting text on the pictures, but now that I have done 3 pics it is getting much easier. I am sure that once I get in there and play a bit I will get the hang of it. There is just so much that you can do and it is somewhat confusing at first. Tutorials would be good if I would just set the time to do them. Sometimes, I have to…[Read more]

@morgoodie There are a ton of video tuts for GIMP. If you’re ever stuck, just Google what you want to do. I find it’s a little tricky to get just the right tutorial, but it’s so easy to do things once you see someone else doing it!

@morgoodie I wish I had taken more risks when I was a newer writer, and that I had worked harder to learn things like SEO and social media marketing. It’s good to stretch a little bit, and to always keep reaching for just a little more 🙂
@morgoodie We all have a long list of things we want to get around to, I suspect! I think it’s important to give ourselves permission to just learn a little at a time, though. We don’t need full mastery of each skill before we explore the next item on the list.
@kaka135 Would you believe it was coding that led me to play with graphic design? I…[Read more]
I finally downloaded Gimp and have been trying to find my way around there. But I was able to put text onto the picture I have downloaded from Pixabay. It has been a little frustrating and it takes me what seems like forever to make them but I have been having fun. I need more practice with Gimp and I had to export it to a jpg file. This was a…[Read more]

@ruby3881 I will check it out. You are inspiring me to be bold and take a risk. I mean the worst that can happen is that they do not accept my article right? I won’t know if I don’t try. I need to find a more lucrative online income anyway. I will give it a try this weekend. Thanks for the confidence.
@morgoodie I think you could do well there, providing you find assignments that fit your interests and knowledge base. If you can’t find anything that suits you at first, just fill in your profile and wait.
I completed three assignments for the same client this week, but today I didn’t see anything that appealed to me. I am also going to be away…[Read more]
@ruby3881 I am so happy that this is working out for you. I knew you would have no problem having your articles accept since you are a very good writer. I may just check it out myself and see what happens. Lord knows I could use the money. Hope you get the “professional” writer category since I consider your writing professional.
Oh, I meant to direct a question at @sunil or maybe @scheng1: How does payment work on TextBroker UK? Do I have a minimum threshold before I request payout? Do they or PayPal take any fees when I request payment?

I wanted to come back and check in, for those who were curious how things are going with TextBroker UK. So far, I’m very pleased!
The two articles I submitted have now been accepted by the client, who rated them at 5 stars on every one of the ratings scales. The pay seems to be in my account, and I’m just waiting for TextBroker to give their…[Read more]

Haven’t heard about Skyword, but from the name itself it means something about Sky is the limit. I haven’t tried to research this one but this is what I perceive on the site. However, when I read on the responses above, it seems it is different, so I am wrong.

I wonder if a site will come up like Bubblews. It had the numbers, inspiration and payment. Very many sites fall below it in terms of the three. Can somebody give me a site that measures to Bubblews though it is dead now.

@lovern This is why I love sites like LiteracyBase! The spirit of sharing and the resourcefulness of fellow users can really help one to learn about new opportunities and to become a better writer.
@nakitakona13 They really seem slick and professional, don’t they? But I couldn’t find anything on their site about who can apply to be a member (i.e.…[Read more]

From everything that I have read on the other comments this site sounds like a really good one for writers. I wonder if the pay is good on there or not. I hope you have good luck there if you try it out.

You are welcome @ruby3881 and thank you for saying that about my writing. I just do not feel that it is good enough but maybe after we get moved I will look into this site more. I just do not want to get into it and have deadlines right now. I hope you hear soon about your first article.
