    • Great article. Thank you for sharing your insights. I have to add cell phones, they can be expensive. Unless you use your android or smartphones to help make you money, you are better off with a cheap clip phone. Many are in over their heads with expensive phones. Also, Second-to-none websites can offer discounts with Supermarkets in exchange for a mystery shop. A good way to save some money.

    • Thank you. Cell phones would fall under the downsizing. They can be very expensive unless you do your homework. Mystery shopping is a great way to save.

    • I am into odd jobs and doing them for quite some time now. I wish to make it regular and make money. It’s not easy though. I have to work extra hard some of the times. So odd jobs with freelancing can be a way for the way to go.

      • I think if you have expertise in a given area you can charge a good price for your time. Maybe this is a way to better meat your goals.

    • Also make sure you have money earning apps on your phone and a penny jar in the kitchen.

      • Those are both good tips. I think that some people don’t think much of pennies but they add up. Some of the apps available to us now days are great help in saving money and staying on a budget.

So, that is how you can stop a braggart. Just comment him and let him show how to do the things he is bragging or show you what he is bragging of.

I have done a lot of online jobs and found out that they can be really time wasters. I have spent a lot of time for offline job too. And realized that offline jobs are secure. It can be a good option if you […]

    • Thanks for sharing. I understand your point about offline jobs. They do pay more but when you work online sites, they can in time, provide some good passive income. A case in point, Vindale surveys has a referral program and this can add up to making money. Also, hubpages offers a referral program that can provide a percentage of what the other person makes. Granted, this takes time and work but investing your time and telling others can bring some fruit. I don’t think working some sites are a waste of time especially when you are sitting without having nothing to do. Mturk offers a good program and pays better than other sites. So, there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

    • Thank you for this post! These days I am beginning to try offline jobs. I have already created my account on such offline site. I begin to teach – yeah! It’s my real profession and my passion. I am passionate to share my knowledge globally. I like jobs where I teach others. So I support the line you here proposed us.

    • It depends on how sucessful you are at what you do. I think PTC are a waste of time but those dedicated in writing could be doing well. If you have an online blog and know how to advertise it the right way then you will get more income than you think. The problem here is that you need to be very creative in your writing and know the public you are trying to reach out to, then advertise your blog to said people.

When it comes to writing sites like Literacybase or Mylot it is a slower income but it all depends in the time you invest to get the money.

I have an offline job and i intend to keep it since it is what i live on. The online earning are what lets me spoil myself with something materialistic.

For other people it isn’t like this. Some people can have 3 or 4 blogs, be on writing sites and maybe even youtube. This all together would get you some good income, but like i said, if you know how to get audience for them.

For me, if it were not for that fact that doors began to open […]

    • Thanks for referring may be a link would help. Just a suggestion. Yes. I was at niume but the rigmarole of connecting to various sites put me off there. I did earn once. I have not closed the chapter but may try it later.

      • My Niume experience has been surprising! Not only have I received a warm welcome but the Niume Staff has shared some of my posts. My biggest shock was when I got an eMail that said one of my posts had been Featured. WHOA! “Staff Picked”?? Seriously? Me? I felt humbled and happy. So I’m going to hang out at that site for a while and see what it yields.

*(Psst. The content that was featured was republished content.)

    • So NIume is based on views that it generates. I think I will fail there because my FB friends don’t need additional income or have the passion for writing, so they don’t view them.

I suppose the defunct site you have implied is Bubblews. Oh, I earned a lot there. So, when it was slowing down and sensing it will close eventually, I went back to myLot.

Now it’s myLot for fun in interaction and some earnings and LB for earnings galore. 🙂

I cannot take another one because I have my full time job.

    • Great article. I, like you, look for opportunities to supplement my income. I will try the sites you recommended. I, for one, had have success with Mturk associated with Amazon. They have writing jobs and surveys. I found it to pay better than some of these sites. I, also, wrote a blog about making money with Mturk, so if interested, give it a shot. Anyway, congratulations on your past endeavors and keep up the good work.

      • Thank you! You’re not the only one who recommends Mturk. I have not looked into yet but it is definitely NOT off the table as another income possibility.

    • I have been on Mylot for years. It is harder to get some decent income but i love being there and interacting with everyone. I actually learned about LiteracyBase from a discussion on Mylot yesterday and deicided to try it out. I am actually liking it around here. It is good that all activities here are rewarded for.

Because i am at work i am limited for now, to only look around and explore or comment on blogs.

I haven’t written a blog yet but i intend to when i am at home.

      • You’ve done pretty good with the blog posts you’ve published since this comment and you also look to be active in the forums and groups. This is not a generating primary income although I suppose one could do that if they devoted themselves to it. But like I said in my post, it is a residual income stream. What I like is that it’s not a guess that you might earn money. When you sign in you can actually see your earning accumulating. I don’t know why all the online writing sites and blogging communities can’t do the same. Would love to find more sites like LB where all of your activity earns.

    • Looks like you’re adjusting just fine! 🙂

    • * * *Sadly the owner of the Niume site passed away and nobody wanted to continue the work. The site no longer exists.

Mahesh wrote a new post, Managing Facebook Page for Social Media Jobs 7 years, 9 months ago

I am planning to manage one social media page. I wish to post the jobs on those pages. Also I want to maintain a site where I want to post the jobs all the time. The jobs will be posted for a week or so. And then […]

    • Creating the page is the easy part. Getting followers is large milestone to achieve but don’t be discouraged. Work at it. If you provide valuable information people will recommend you to folks in their network. You can pay for advertising if you have the money. If you don’t have an advertising you’ll just have to work at it!! Sounds like you’ve got a plan. Go for it! 🙂

    • So your plan is to gather employer and employees together who are offering and those who are looking. So, there is the two way pool. You need to gather those. If you will just copy job information from other websites and promote it through your facebook page then this will not going to work in long term, because people don’t want to register too many other sites who are not actually the place to send resume and other stuff.

facebook has some sort of other stories. It totally the game of engagement and reach. No matter how many followers you have. If your users are not engaging your shared content then you will find it hard to push those offering to the wast majority of your audience.
On the other end facebook has decreased the reach for share links, so you are not getting that much reach as compared to videos, images.

Shared Link reach is mainly depends on the CTR of the links. The more CTR for your shared job opening the more people will see this. So you need to make it more attractive by using images and titles.

These are some tips: there are many more to follow. Social media management is the complete field.

    • it is great plan that will take lots of time and gathering people also takes time so you pick the good suitable people for the job, but what i hate is the facebook it self, i do not like it nor i like the pages or anything there, it will be nice to do it in other medias, for example linkedin, twitter and instagram are much nice than the facebook, though i don not get how that will work and how the idea is going to work, wish you best of luck and keep the good work, social media are so hard and mangageing it is hard work too, needs you to pay your full time to work it out, unless you are old user and have lots of viewers and followrs then you are ready i guess to use your plan and make it in trial phase

    • I don’t trust science finding because they will one day come and disprove their own findings and tell us different things meanwhile they have created an information in the mind of people. They told us there were 12 planets in the univers and this was taught in schools over the year wbut now they are telling us they have found other planets disproving their own findings. There are many such things i cant talk about.

      • One of the reasons why this item caught my attention is because of the ease that people fall for scams. I won’t go into the numerous scams that run in my country… but why do people fall for them?

I have found that obverse of the scientific ‘otherness’ finding; that the person ‘just like you’ is the best scammer. The ‘businessman’ ropes in business men, the high school grad ropes in high school grads…

In court the accused scammer looks just like the people he scammed. They way they dress, talk, hold themselves, often age groups.

    • Interesting as one thing I learned when I ran pre-school is that children settle best when their key worker looks like their mum or main carer. We do bond best with the earliest good caregiver and so are likely to prefer people like them. As the caregiver is usually the same race and ethnicity then that would figure. It does in a way, come down to survival. That said, most people when you scratch the surface are the same under the skin, but every family is in itself, a culture even within cultures.

      • The research proves this; the ‘us’ and ‘them’, which is the basis of racism… difference. I have observed a lot of scams and find that the automatic trust we give to ‘us’ can be used against us.

This is like becoming a professor with no portifolio.

    • But he’s right about BBC, CNN and Buzzfeed. I have yet to validate a single claim of website such as buzzfeed. Lot of crappy articles on buzzfeed. So Trump is right on that part.

      • Buzzfeed is not serious news. The BBC/CNN are. They may ‘spin’ an item, but they don’t fabricate. Trump fabricates. He lies and demands you believe it. The Good Thing is that the world knows he is a liar, a shifter, who will say one thing here, another thing there, such as his Sweden thing. So no one believes anything from the US now.

        • There are lot of spin items at BBC. They were the one who said pakistan is safe country. In reality it turned out that country is the one shipping ISIS mindset all over the world. Same with CNN. They sided with china and guess who is providing support to ISIS and Jem leaders? China. You need to dig very deep to understand where BBC, CNN and Buzzfeed type sites are in order to understand what is fake news and real news.

Rose smith has send me similar mail before. once you reply they get the chance to brainwash you with some pathetic refuegee or money inheritance story that they need your help in. Am fringe interest just to understand their stupidity. Am not a fool to allow a scammer to outsmart me. They have tried many scams in different form but non got me.

      • Anancy comes from Ghana…in Jamaica he’s just a trickster… very little good traits. How can someone try to samfie a Jamaican or a Ghanaian? Rose Smith is very stupid.

    • Well this is something interesting to store up to tell my mixed race (English/Jamaican) grandson. He will need to know his roots. As for scammers. Most are stupid. The other day one got onto my facebook as messaged me as my friend. It was rather amusing as I was actually on the phone to my friend at the time and waited for the request for money and then we both had a good laugh when I called the scammer out. Like you say. Most scammers are not that bright.

One day there were only five pears (avocados) to eat, and it was Anancy, his wife and four children. He gave everyone a pear. The little one said, ‘Daddy what are you going to eat?’ Anancy said, “It’s okay, son, you eat.” “No Daddy, here take half my pear.” “Yes!” said the other children, “Take half of ours!”
