    • You can write for Wikipedia by creating your account there. I prefer correcting the wrong information available in certain posts. I have done that many a times and received thanks message. I have also received counter correction message at one particular correction I did.

    • Yes right. For me it really helps to improve my vocabulary everyday. And also I learn what’s going on in the world which isn’t shown in the news..like very small but interesting topics. 🙂

      • You are right. What we get to read here is not available anywhere. Here users write about their own life and also their blogs are compiled from info gathered.

    • What you have shared is very true. This writing sites are not just for writing but they offer information that most people wouldn’t know. It also helps people become more efficient in their writing and others gain confidence in what they believe in which is a good thing. For me it has opened my eyes first and foremost on ideas and ways of making a few pennies and I have also had the oppoertunity to learn about other people and their cultures

    • I am not a forgetful type but when my wife has to remind me about something she keeps small chits on different places. Like on TV table where I keep my wallet, her dressing table that is very much in view all the time and top of the fridge where I go often take water bottle. However a to do list is a nice way of keeping your schedule intact.

    • Usually am upto per with my house chores and to do lists. Whenever I wake up in the morning I always know what it that I want to do in the house and on that day. It has actually become like a routine I guess that’s why I don’t struggle doing what I need to do. The time that I usually have a check list is when I go out shopping. I knowsometimes being a woman you would be tempted to do some extra shopping that you really don’t need. So I carry a list just so that I don’t go over board with anything, and that really helps a lot.

    • Never underestimate the power of the list. List-making is encouraged for writers and bloggers in many ways.

    • One can’t imagine a world without music because one can hear the sound of music in everything. Once when I was a child, our house was very quiet. The only sound I could hear was a dripping water faucet in a sink that had a clogged drain. I could hear a melody ~ a pattern of notes ~ in the sound of the water dripping. If there were no instruments or voices, people would still make music out of their surroundings somehow. 🙂

    • Where I come from party games are usually held for kids, like when you are doing a birthday party for a kid all these things are i ncoperated to keep the kids busy, so that they don’t have a room to disturb the adults when they are ha ing their adult talks. They also keep them alert and very creative. But if it is an adult party you wouldn’t find such things. Maybe in team building events that’s where you can get such like events so that people can mingle and get to know each other

peachpurple wrote a new post, Treat Your Child Like an Adult 8 years, 1 month ago

As you baby grows into a toddler, remember that one day, he will grow into an adult too.

All of us had been through our childhood days, we had many questions submerging in our brain, thirsting for answer for a […]

    • To tell the truth I can say that kids are the most intelligent people in this earth. We normally assume that kids don’t see or understand the things that we do; but the truth is that they tend to watch us the grownups doing our things and copy what they can. But when they see something that they may not agree with that will probably ask a lot of questions. I agree that children don’t need to be lied to or even Hi we stuff from them. They become very curious when they grow up, and start asking questions so the best thing is to always create time to tell to them and explain anything that they may want to know it’s very important.

    • Yes treating your child with respect, telling him the truth of what ever question he asks you is very good. It’s also good to make him feel very important and also make him believe that you are the only one that can tell them the truth of any of their question. When u was a kid, I was really a very inquisitive type and my mother simply said I was going to be intelligent and I thank God I am today. Children who are always inquisitive to know what goes on around them and how it happens gathers a lot of knowledge and this help them to be intelligent as they grow gradually. I really am interested in kids that are inquisitive cos they remind me of my childhood days and my childhood questions. These kinda children who ask questions a lot are very noisy and talks a lot. Due to their acquired knowledge, they tend to talk a lot about what they have learnt from their parents. Actually not all children are question, they keep quiet and just grow like that without knowing anything. Most times these children end up in being dummies in their classes due to their quiet nature.

Tanikka Paulk wrote a new post, The Benefits of Continuous Reading 8 years, 1 month ago

Reading certainly is fundamental. Reading helps keep us up to date. Imagine the world without books or reading material. We wouldn’t learn much now would we? There’s all sorts of material. Finding informative […]

    • Many successful writers say they got their start because someone gave them a book to read. In fact, many actors and people in various other professions say the same thing. Anybody who learns to read will never live to regret it.

    • Yes, reading makes man full and practice makes men perfect it is for those who read books and act upon the books message are happy on earth as the readers of the holy Bible.

A continuous reading makes men active and provides information about the whole world what the people of other countries are doing and writing or the coming generation.
The Benefits of Reading are as…
Reading keeps your brain young. …
Reading can melt away stress. …
      Reading boosts your vocabulary. …
      Reading improves empathy. …
Reading can encourage life goals. …
Reading helps you feel more connected.

Studies have shown that staying mentally stimulated can slow the progress of (or possibly even prevent) Alzheimer’s and Dementia, since keeping your brain active and engaged prevents it from losing power. Just like any other muscle in the body, the brain requires exercise to keep it strong and healthy, so the phrase “use it or lose it” is particularly apt when it comes to your mind. Doing puzzles and playing games such as chess have also been found to be helpful with cognitive stimulation.

Everything you read fills your head with new bits of information, and you never know when it might come in handy. The more knowledge you have, the better-equipped you are to tackle any challenge you’ll ever face.

Additionally, here’s a bit of food for thought: should you ever find yourself in dire circumstances, remember that although you might lose everything else—your job, your possessions, your money, even your health—knowledge can never be taken from you.

Therefore reading is must for all of us in extra time at home or late night.

Tanikka Paulk wrote a new post, Spending too Much Time Online Isn’t Healthy 8 years, 1 month ago

It’s a terrible thing when being online is stressful. It’s even worst when there’s websites that could care less about how their site is managing. When payments to certain members can be stalled and when the […]

    • I spend most of my time working online, with the exception of Sundays and Wednesday nights after Bible study. Have no issues with stress, cyber bullying, etc. When people act negative towards me and make distasteful remarks, etc., I click the OFF button in my brain. Sorry. I don’t have time. I got work to do!! If the other mean person had productive work to do too, they wouldn’t be expending their energy doing dumb stuff like picking on people they probably don’t even know! As for its effects on my health for sitting too long all day, reading and typing (and watching videos)? (Yawn.) I’m too old to care. 🙂

    • I agree with you treathyle Fox, many people work a lot on the net actually for some it’s like their life depends on it, so staying away is like torture for them. The net is a media platform for everyone to do and say whatever they want. So someone just needs to be careful with the friends they make on different sites on the net, that way you are able to put tabs on everyone you chat with. One thing the internet can have all sorts of frustrating issues but the best way to avoid problems is to shut your ears from anything negative

      • Before there was eMail and the Internet, there was the telephone. In my old jobs, I spent a lot of time on the phone working with co-workers all around the United States. Never physically met some of them until long after we have developed a good working relationship. Either they came on a business travel trip to where I was working or I made an official trip to their workplace. It’s all about establishing a line of communication, working together, and getting the job done. It’s just that some folks think they can “hide” using the Internet and it gives them a license to do things to you that they would not do to your face. Those kind of people are just silly! I can’t say “childish” because I have a grandchild, about 7 years old, who handles herself on the Internet in a more mature manner than some grown folks!

    • Spending too much time on internet is injurious to our mental and physical heath because man is the man’d peace of heart and mind and inanimate things cannot speak to men just like computer does not talk to men but we read the computer in lone.

I read once in the magazine that Researchers at the University of Gothenburg found that those who constantly use a computer or their mobile phone can develop stress, sleeping disorders and depression.
The team studied the habits of more than 4,100 Swedish men and women, aged between 20 and 24, over the course of a year to reach this conclusion.

‘It was easy to spend more time than planned at the computer (e.g., working, gaming, or chatting), and this tended to lead to time pressure, neglect of other activities and personal needs (such as social interaction, sleep, physical activity), as well as bad ergonomics, and mental overload.’
The study also found a correlation between stress and always being available on the phone, especially regarding the burden of guilt for not replying to messages.

Even people who played video games online faced a greater risk of suffering from depression, with Thomee saying: ‘Daily computer gaming for 1–2 hours meant an increased risk for symptoms of depression in the women.

‘Often using the computer late at 48 night (and consequently losing sleep) was a prospective risk factor for stress and sleep disturbances, including reduced performance, in both sexes.’
The team said people need to set limits on the time they spend in front of a screen or phone, and limit demands on their availability to avoid mental disorders.

    • Haha!
That was nice trying out something for yourself there. But you should have taken a picture of it and sent it alongside this post so we could see it and have a feeling of what it might look like.

Personally I love coconuts and we also have a handful of them here that I’m staying.

I also heard the water is a great antibiotic.

    • I thought at first this was a recipe for coconut milk ice cream. That I eat because I am allergic to regular milk. You should try making that with coconut sometime as it’s very good!

    • I love your post! You are creative obviously. I also love coconuts and do enjoy desserts, sweets, drinks made of them. I have had frozen yogurt made from coconut. I have never seen or eaten any ice cream made with coconuts, making your recipe interesting for me. It is something that I could try to make on my own. I do have a portable ice cream maker at home. I do agree with Onyedikachi; a picture would have helped.

      • 😀 You are right there but I had tried making this a long time ago. It looked just like any one ice cream. Good you have an ice cream maker. Then your job will be easy. Try it and tell me how it turned out. The meat should be very tender.

    • If you have the ice cream maker then it will still be easy. Good Luck with your efforts.
