Truth?  The man is a bald faced liar.  He has lied throughout his life.  From day  one he has lied.  He has been caught in lies.  He thinks if he says something often enough and loud enough it becomes true.  That doesn’t work.

There are those who pick and ch […]

    • Actually I left a comment at your post about Hadrian’s Wall. I did not realize you had also posted about Trump’s Wall. The comment applies here too. I’m not repeating myself because, in my humble opinion, even though I said it, it does not bear repeating. 🙂

    • He just leave people speechless (not in a good way)

    • The wall is one of the cornerstones of Donald Trump’s campaign, if not the sole consistency. Ever since he uttered those magical words, the wall has grown into a rallying cry for his supporters.

Donald Trump has promoted a xenophobic immigration policy from the outset of his presidential campaign. He declared that Mexico was exporting “criminals,” “killers,” “rapists” and “drug dealers” to the United States.
To deal with this situation, Trump announced he would build a wall along the Mexic0-U.S. border, for which he would force Mexico to pay costs.

As with most Trump proposals to “make America great again,” he has been long on promises and short on details. In the months since the official launch of his campaign on June 17, 2015, however, journalists have forced him into giving some details of the wall he envisions.

Trump’s wall typifies his governing ideas and tactics. He has simply tossed out a thought without carefully thinking it through. As a result, it is unrealistic and unworkable. It would likely cause more harm than good.

No informed person believes any good could come from such a wall, although there is no shortage of bad things that could occur.

Nor is there public clamor for such a draconian sealing of our southern border. According to the latest Pew Research Poll, only about a third of Americans support the idea of a wall, with Republicans predominantly favoring it.

kaylar wrote a new post, Hadrian’s Wall; why is it Important? 7 years, 10 months ago

In the year  122 C.E. (AD),  the Roman Emperor Hadrian visited the British Isles.

He ruled from about 117 (C.E.) until about 138 (C.E.).   (C.E. is Common Era)

He had come into power when the Roman Empi […]

    • So did Hadrian’s Wall actually separate the Romans from the barbarians? I mean … did it serve its purpose? Because our country is supposedly getting ready to build a wall too. So I’m just wondering. (O.o) Because if A WALL really can keep out illegals trying to slip in unlawfully from other countries instead of going through our legal immigration process and can also keep out invaders from hostile territories, then do it! You won’t get no argument from me, Mr. T.

      • Many historians believe it was more a deterrent and fear tactic. There were a few forts attached. It was to be awesome.

The problem is not that the illegals come in, it is that many get jobs. Many are hired, paid a smalls and it is those who hire them that should be targeted. If the jobs dry up then the immigration would drop.

        Look at Australia.

Everyone cursed them, but the boats of refugees go to niaru. So who wants to go there? So only people really fleeing for their lives would think of going.

    • It’s not just about illegals getting jobs. (Although I know that’s what you hear a lot of folks say.) It’s way more than that.

BORDER SECURITY is an item that should be always be on every President’s Top 10 Hot Buttons Fast Track List.

I don’t even like the former Texas Governor Rick Perry. But I agree with him on this. It is very important that a country secures its borders. All kinds of stuff and people carrying that stuff come across the borders. Sometimes people come in as a mule carrying contraband. Some people could be bringing a disease with them. Some folks are criminals on the run! And some are terrorists!

So it’s not just about low wage jobs at McDonalds.

IT REALLY IS ABOUT NATIONAL SECURITY.

      So the questions are:

~ Is a wall in the interests of national security?

~ Will a wall really and truly make our borders secure?

      • The point is, for efficacy, is to be able to distinguish those who are just coming for jobs from those who are terrorists/criminals.

Many agencies was a lot of man power and funds chasing people who are no threat. So if there can be an end to the employment so that the agency can be 89% sure that this guy has come here for a nefarious purpose, well, they won’t be running down the guy with five kids who is in the US to work and send money home.

As you have seen, many Islamic Terrorists hide in a crowd of refugees. As one thinks they are refugees… well you seen the trucks riding into crowds.

The problem that any country faces is being overwhelmed and having their resources stretched. By ending the illegal employment that ends the ‘decent’ illegal alien and leaves the ‘indecent’ which makes it easier.
