The basics for a good barbecue is having a grill is no. 1 of course, some good cuts of meat and plenty of charcoal and a nice sun shiny day! Slow and long is the way I think it all should go. Taking time to cook the meat and let it smoke a bit insures the best flavor. I would start with a dozen or so sausages myself and perhaps some beef patties and go from there. Most of the flavor is already there. It’s up to you to cook it and bring the flavor out. It’s been a long time since I had my own home cooked BBQ so perhaps you can give me some hints as to making a great tasting sausage or steak on an open grill and I will be inclined to give it a try myself out on my back yard grill. It’s all limited only to your knowledge of BBQ and your personal taste and your own imagination. The sky’s the limit!
