Today million of the world believe that condom is a substance that prevent or capable in stopping of both the entries of infection and sperm from getting to the body. an infections such as

    Chlamydia.
    Gonorrhea.
    Genital Herpes.
    HIV/AIDS.
    Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
    Syphilis.
    Bacterial Vaginosis.
    Trichomoniasis.

according to my own research as a progressional scientist with about fifteen years of experience, I will like to use this opportunity to enlighten about the use of condom. two years ago I was given the opportunity to host a public lectures consigning the issue of infections and to encourage and also to discourage the peoples about using of an object in form of infection protections such as world most commonly known disease (HIV). before the public lecture was commence, about thousands of the attendance were given interviews consigning sexual transmission. to my very big surprise about 80% of the attendance were still ignorance about sexual transmission while 20% were able. (briefly) with my fifteen years of experience I can boldly tells you that a condom can only prevent you from getting pregnant not from contacting infection.
HERE ARE SOME MERIT AND DEMERIT OF CONDOM…

    MERIT OF CONDOM
They are the most effective protection available against STIs.
They do not affect future fertility for either a woman or a man.
They are used only at the time of sexual intercourse.
They are safe to use while a woman is breastfeeding .
They are less expensive than hormonal methods of birth control.
They are widely available without a prescription.
They may help prevent a man from having an orgasm too quickly

    DEMERIT OF CONDOM
Some people are embarrassed to use condoms or feel they may interrupt foreplay or intercourse.
Both partners must be comfortable with using a condom and be prepared to use one every time they have sex .
    Condoms may decrease sexual sensation.
Some people are allergic to latex (rubber). These couples should use condoms made of polyurethane (plastic).
    Condoms may break or leak.
Failure rates for barrier methods are higher than for most other methods of birth control. Using an additional method of birth control is a good backup measure in case a condom breaks. If a condom does break and you are using no other birth control method, you can use emergency contraception to help prevent pregnancy.
