We used to get lot of advertisement for reducing weight. When I get those promotional emails or sms I just smile because I am terribly under-weight. Why do you think there is so much hype over over weight where as maximum of people on earth are under wight? I feel the main reason is businessman profits more from over-weight people because they are mainly from higher income group. I do not mean under-weight people have less income but the main reason of the majority of people of having under-wight is that they are from third world country and they would prefer better food than buying health capsule/tonic. So businessman targets the over-weight people.
