Oh my! This is one of my favorite topics. I love dogs and have had all kinds. With that being said I believe my favorite breed is the Italian Mastiff. Not only is this dog the best protector in the family but he/she are also perfect for children and would not hesitate to protect a child in the home. They cost a lot of money but it is definitely worth it. Speaking of which I miss my Maximus. These Mastiffs seem better fit for colder climates. I brought my Mastiff here to the south and his health just declined gradually and it was the most heartbreaking thing that could have ever happened to me.
