How to Increase Rank of your Site Using Webmaster tool
December 11, 2017
What is Schema Mark Up and how does it help Rank a Website in Google?
Schema Mark Up is a method to label information on your website in a way that search engines can understand.

Remember, SEO is not really about rankings—it’s about generating website traffic from search engines. Using schema mark up will improve the way your website is displayed in search results.

When used properly, the search results will display as a “rich snippet” which provides a variety of additional information like product or service price, ratings, reviews and other details. This type of display improves click-through rate, leading to more search traffic.

Although integrating schema mark up into your website maybe complicated, you only need to set it up once. And it’s definitely worth the effort.

Google recommends the following to get better rankings in their search engine:

Make pages primarily for users, not for search engines. Don’t deceive your users or present different content to search engines than you display to users, a practice commonly referred to as “cloaking.”
Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.
Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content. Make sure that your <title> elements and ALT attributes are descriptive and accurate.
Use keywords to create descriptive, human-friendly URLs. Provide one version of a URL to reach a document, using 301 redirects or the rel=”canonical” attribute to address duplicate content.
Use short forms and acronyms. Many times people search for a product using colloquial terms or a nickname. These are especially common with products. For example:
“OJ” instead of “orange juice”
“cock sauce” instead of “Sriracha”
“AC” instead of “air conditioner”
“jockey box” instead of “portable draft unit”
How to avoid duplicate contents?
I just wanted to share how you can avoid people duplicating your contents. Many of us know that duplicate content sucks. It can even have a negative impact on your ranking.
There are some folks who are just lazy, they copy articles from any website they want. Here are some of the problems you can have with duplicate contents.
Search engine might not know which one to rank for search results.
·It becomes a problem for search engine to know which version to include or exclude from their indices
·Search engine will not know where to direct the link metrics
What can we do to solve the problem?
There are various solutions; one good one is to purchase a plugin that help you protect your content. You can try out any WORDPRESS PROTECTION plugin.
This leads me to the reason am making this blog. I came across a website known as COPYSCAPE, this website helps you check for a duplicate content. The good thing is that it’s FREE.
If you want to know if people have duplicated your content around the web, this could be your best bet. Many people sell same content to lots of people online, this is why I don’t like buying contents from people.
In conclusion, if you want to buy any article online, check it out with this tool before paying for it, you might be buying a duplicate article. I hope this helps.
