YOU MUST PAY YOUR TITHE FAITHFULLY TO CHRIST IN DILIGENCE LEAVING NOTHING UNDONE.
Humble yourself when you pay tithe, don’t stand on the offerings and tithe you give to undermine anyone and think because you just pay tithe you are righteous and holy than him or her.
LUKE 18:
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:
10 Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: God, I thank you that I am not like other people – robbers, evildoers, adulterers – or even like this tax collector.
12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.
13 But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, God, have mercy on me a sinner.
14 I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all who exalts themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
MATTHEW 23:23
Woe to you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices – mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law – justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former.
LUKE 11:42
Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former.
Jesus saw the hypocrisy, wickedness and the spirit of greed within the teachers of the Law and Pharisees who pay their tithe with their hearts full of greed and wickedness. They rejected the perfect will of the Lord which talks of justice, love, being merciful and faithfulness. They were expecting God to bless them abundantly through tithe paying but they refused the perfect will of the Lord that gives life. And Jesus corrected them that they shouldn’t pay their tithe alone but should add to their tithing that which is the perfect will of God.
Some people in our churches today are like the Pharisees and teachers of the law, in fact, when it comes to just paying your tithes, they are very good, but the most important and perfect will of the Lord which they must do and have life eternal and to keep them at peace with God, such things they are disobedient about it and just pay tithe that God should bless them and their works and finances whiles their heart is full of all kinds of evil and rebelling against the perfect will of the Lord.
You pay tithe expecting God’s blessings, but you have thrown away justice and love, you don’t treat your workers and anyone’s that is under you or comes in your life with justice and love. You pass people through fire and make them suffer by your wickedness and thinks God should bless you with your tithe you have paid in hypocritical way and not faithfully? You are deceiving yourself.
You pay tithe but you are unfaithful in your single state, you have concubines you are living in sexual sin with, and wants God to bless you? You are deceiving yourself!
You are following other peoples wives and husbands, being sexually immoral, being a homosexual, man sleeping with man, woman sleeping with woman, fornicating, committing adultery, being sexually defiled and impure before God and thinks that God should bless you by just paying tithes? You are deceiving yourself! Repent!
You are in government and politician, you take the nation’s money for yourself, you are highly corrupt and claim in yourself that the corrupt things and money you have is given to you by God and you are paying tithe for more abundance of blessings, increase and protection? You are deceiving your soul! Repent now and wash your hands from your evil and corrupt ways before you come and give your offering and tithes to God.
Somebody did offend you many years ago, but you have said in your heart that you will never forgive that person for what He did against you, you are always planning and thinking evil about the person and thinks God should bless you by just paying tithe? You are deceiving yourself! Go and forgive the person and keep peace with him before you come and give your tithes and offerings.
You don’t treat the poor, the needy, the orphans, the fatherless, the widow, the oppressed, the homeless with love and Justice, you have no mercy in your heart for people like this and think that God should bless you by just paying tithe? You are deceiving yourself. Repent!
Your hands is full of the blood of innocent people that you have killed for power, success, position, popularity and fame and thinks God should bless you by just paying tithes? You are deceiving yourself. Your hands is full of blood as a doctor who destroy pregnancy and kill strong healthy children to be born into this world to ensure the continuity of the human race in the wisdom of God and collect blood money for killing the children, and after this you enter the church building using your blood money to pay tithe that God should bless you? You are deceiving yourself. Murderers repent!
A man who helps a woman to destroy pregnancy is a murderer like the woman who failed to keep the healthy pregnancy by taking dangerous drugs or went to doctor to abort it, when you do all these evil and thinks you can force God to bless you by just paying tithe, you are deceiving yourself.
Obedience to the perfect will of the Lord is better than a mere sacrifice which is offered hypocritically. Sacrifice which its foundation lacks obedience to the perfect will of God is vain sacrifice.
Offerings and tithes to God without obedience to the perfect will of God that leads to eternal life is an accursed, unclean and abominable sacrifice and is vain.
When you don’t delight yourself in the perfect will of the Lord that leads to eternal life, you are unholy and a rebel before God, and the sacrifice of the unholy and rebels are abomination to God. Repent.
Wash your has away from your evil ways, delight yourself in the perfect will of God that promote holiness and righteousness in you and keeps you at peace with God and then come and pay your tithe and give your offerings in addition to it and see if God will not be faithful to your faithfulness.
PROVERBS 3:
9 Honour the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops,
10 then your barns will be filled with overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine.
MALACHI 3:
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test Me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
11 I will prevent pest from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not not drop their fruit before it is ripe, says the Lord Almighty.
12 Then all the Nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land, says the Lord Almighty.
When you pay your tithe faithfully in truth in the beauty of holiness to appreciate God, the pest of life troubles does not stay with you and on your work. You flourish in your soul, spirit and body and the works of of your hands don’t turn labour in vain. The seed of your womb become blessed, your children will not die untimely and premature death. No weapon that forms against you, your children, family, finances and work will prosper.
So be holy and faithful in truth in your tithe paying, do not rob God.
MALACHI 3:
8 Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, how are we robbing you? In tithes and offerings.
9 You are under a curse – your whole nation – because you are robbing me.
MARK 12:
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth of a few pence.
43 Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
44 They all gave out of their wealth, but she, out of her poverty, put in everything – all that she had to live on.
Some are rich but are still unfaithful in tithing and offerings and robs God. But others are poor but rich in Spirit and pays their tithe faithfully to God. The rich who is not faithful to God in tithing and offerings is spiritually poor and the love of God is not in them.
We must pay tithe as something we are doing for Christ and not human. We must express our sincere love for Christ Jesus in tithe and offering. He deserves to be honoured with all that we have. He is always watching how we tithe whether we tithe in truth or take a portion of what He deserves for ourselves. He is the king of peace over our souls, He is the first born of the sons of God, we must give Him all the best He deserves and honour Him. When we promise to offer some amount of money or something unto the Lord, we must do it exactly as we said. We must not lie in tithes and offerings unto God.
GENESIS 14:
17 After Abram(Abraham) returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the valley of shaven (that is the King’s valley)
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,
19 and he blessed Abram saying,
” Blessed be Abram by God Most High, creator of heaven and earth.
20 And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.”
Then Abram Gave him the tenth of everything.
HEBREWS 7:
This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High . He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,
2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness” Then also, king of Salem means king of peace.
Jesus Christ is our High Priest. He is our King of Righteousness, He is our King of Peace. He is the Melchizedek of our Faith and we must appreciate Him for His blessings, His amazing grace with the tenth of everything we have.
Jesus never said we shouldn’t pay tithe, but He enlightened us that we should pay it faithfully and in truth in the beauty of holiness, not being liars and hypocrites deceiving ourselves like others do. He who teaches that you shouldn’t pay tithe is subjecting you to poverty and curse.
PROVERBS 11: 24
One person gives freely, yet gains even more, another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
Do not lie to God in your heart in offerings and tithes you decided to give to God.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:
6 Remember this: who ever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and who ever sows generously will also reap generously.
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Ananias and his wife Sapphira died because they lied in what they decided in their heart to give unto God to the apostles.
ACTS 5:
Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira also sold a piece of property.
2 With his wife full of knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself but brought the rest and put it at the apostles feet.
3 Then peter said, Ananias, how is it so that Satan has filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept part to yourself some of the money you received from the land?
4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.
5 When Ananias heard this, He fell down and died. And a great fear seized all who heard what has happened.
6 Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.
7 About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what has happened.
8 Peter asked her, ‘Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?’ Yes, she said, that is the price.
9 Peter said to her, ‘How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.
10 At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. 11 Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.
Let us stop lying to God and robbing Him in offerings and tithes. That habit brings God’s wrath, not blessings. It brings death. You can die, your health can die, your peace can die, your joy can die, your marriage can die, your work can die, your strength can die, your finances can die, what ever you touch can die. And when many things that makes life worth living dies out of your life, you will not be fruitful in anything. And you will be miserable. Let us repent and be truthful to Christ in all things and His peace and blessings will not leave us. Stop imitating the behaviour of Ananias and his wife Sapphira who lied and robbed God. Amen.
