I went to the doctor today thinking I would give blood to have my blood tested to see how my body is responding to the Vitamin B12 medicine I am taking, but nope that didn’t happen. Instead, I went with a new problem. New today anyways. My ear has been bothering me for some days. I have had some drainage and some pain coming from it. This morning I even woke up with a sore throat. Diagnosis; chronic ear infection along with a sore throat. So I was given a prescription for antibiotics and some ear drops.

I was the drainage was from my sinuses. I really hate that. On top of that, today had to be a rainy day. We had a tornado watch so I wasn’t able to take a nap like I wanted to. It was too noisy outside. So I am doing a little better. The ear doesn’t hurt as much but throat does. ūüôĀ At least I don’t like to talk much.

@evilelf, Hello friend? Sorry to hear about your ear troubling you, but happy to know that your doctor has able to prescribe you with the right medicine. In the past, I also had ear problem. One night during my sleep, I put my little finger unconsciously onto my right ear. I kept on rotating that little finger in my sleep and woke up still doing the same act.So in the morning, my right ear was so itchy, and too painful. It ached so bad that my tears fell from severe pain of my head. There was no one to escort me that time. I was  17 years old that time  I went to the doctor alone and as happy to meet a very nice and good doctor. The doctor told me that my ear was infected. My God, the doctor clean my ears full of wet wax and inside my ear chamber, the doctor saw fungi.

That was so shocking fungi grew after 14 hours of infection,That added too itchy, itchy and painful, so panicky situation.

I spent much that day for the medicine was so expensive, one to intake good for 3 days, on liquid good for five days and through it after done. I was healed after 24 hours. Doctors are so important in our society.

I hope you no longer suffer sore throat, if still take strepsils.

It is always wise to be healthy, but sometimes we cannot avoid getting sick. Take care my friend.

Oh.this is sad to know about that.

The ear infection may happen due to age factor also. So when approached the doctor for one thing you encountered some other problem. Very unexpected things do happen after seeing or visiting some doctors.

Once I went to a Dentist to remove something stuck in the teeth which was giving terrific pain. He removed it in minutes. He questioned me how come that my incisor is yellow. I replied that I had a cricket ball injury while playing. He asked me to have a blood test. I really wondered and questioned him ‘Why’. He said that he got some doubt about it as it is infected ¬†I never visited him again. This has¬†happened¬†about 20 years back.

The best home remedy for ear infection is take a bulb of Garlic in  a spoon of Gingelly oil. Heat the oil. When it is warm put two drops in the ear. Cover the passage with a cotton . Do it in the night. You will be alright by morning.

@sivasubrahmanyam shatdarsanam, Thank you friend, but my ear no longer gives me a problem. That was only the first and the last problem of my ear . The EENT who cured my ear specialized his skill in United States, but he is so old this time, I think 68 and people might be afraid he, to commit mistake in his treatment. The ear drum that is intact might be affected.

Still, I am going to copy the procedure of this kind of treatment.I have so many friends having ear problems.Usually, infection cause. Every night before I go to bed, I wash my hands well so when they attempt to scratch the inner part of my ear, I won’t get infection .This was what the doctor told me to wash my hands well , or if the habit continues, he advised me to wear gloves hehehehe. But it did not anymore happy to my ears.

Thank you friend, have a nice day from my country to yours.

@evilelf Did you have a sinus infection and not know it? I had a sinus infection but had no symptoms did not take over the counter medicine or go to the doctor for prescription¬†medicine. Then one morning¬†I woke up with an earache. I went to the doctor who said you don’t have to swim to get swimmer’s ear and gave me drops. I took some before bed and woke up in so much pain I had to go back to the doctor who says I had a sinus infection I did not treat. But the thing was my ear hurt I could not open my mouth without severe pain. I had pudding at meals and milkshakes¬†I could not get my mouth open for a real meal.

¬†Jennifer Dombrowski, funny you mentioned that because shortly after visiting the doctor I developed a sinus infection. Good thing the doctor gave me antibiotics for it ahead of time but I had to wait to get the meds filled due to no ride to the pharmacy. I picked them up today. I did get a coupon for a free bottle of Robitussin medicine. So that will come in handy also. I have been feeling really horrible all week. When I talk you can tell I am congested. My throat still hurts and at night I can barely breathe. ūüôĀ But hey, at least my mom is better.

sivasubrahmanyam shatdarsanam, I am always having ear problems since I was a baby. Not a year has passed without having some kind of ear infection. When I was 19 I had surgery on my left ear to repair the ear drum from extensive ear infections to it. I am partially deaf. I can not hear in my right ear. I do not know if this is from chronic ear infections are the fact that I was born to a deaf person. It is hard for me to be in a public place with people talking to me. I sometimes can not understand what they are saying or not at all and it makes working very difficult.

¬†cely, I have a bad habit of scratching my inner ears with q-tips. I can’t stand for my ears to itch. Usually when mine start to itch like crazy then I normally end up with an ear infection later on.
