When I was young, I had learned how to play “Mary had a little lamb” on a baby piano.

My best friend who was same age as me, had taught me how to play the simple music with numbers.

Ever since then, I feel awed with envy for those people who could play piano.

I never learn how to play piano because my parents couldn’t afford to pay for the lessons, let alone with the debts that my family had.

My daughter had learned how to play the violin and had participated in an orchestra at her school.

She had the talent to play piano even without lessons because she applied the same technique of violin to piano music sheet.

I wish I had a toy piano…

I had never learned any musical instruments. But I do sing in high school days as a choir member. I wanted to learn during my childhood years but my parents don’t want me to do it. Thus, my sister is the one who had learned how to play the piano. As for me, I learned to use a computer.

I have never learnt any music instrument so far, but my brother has learnt violin a little bit. More than musical instruments, I have been interested in singing. But I never took any formal lessons. @ peachpurple though music is a part of my life, I never got opportunity to learn. @ Shavkat it’s nice to hear you used to sing during school days

I know how to play xylophone during elementary days and most of the time on my school days I am playing the piano because I used it for vocalization purposes as I was always a member of choirs in my schools. I cannot play the piano but I know the notes that we used during vocalization. If I will read a note then I will play it in the piano, it will be very slow for me and it will look funny. I love playing drums, I tried it once, but I am not good at it. I am frustrated with playing guitar and I never learned to play it.

@Shavkat, When I was young, I learned to strum a guitar, but when I  reached high school my interest died down and replaced with many organizations, I was not alone. How nice if I could play hi tech instruments.

@Shavkat, I understand. Me too, when I was a child, I and my sister always quarrel of something like toys, bullying and jealousy hehehe. It cannot be avoided, but when we grow mature, we can adjust our temper.

Why can’t musical instruments become cheap then ourmom could buy one for each person, then we coyld enjoy music

I learned how to play the violin when I was in the 6th grade. I played up until my 11th grade year. I wish I kept going but it was time for me to retire due to some conflicting things in my school schedule.

I really wanna pick it back up again, but the cost for a violin is a little to pricy, but if my kids told me they wanted to play then I would be glad to spend the money on a violin for them.

@peachpurple, your child is a gifted child. You have to promote his talent help him become more enthusiastic in his talent. He might have inherited that talent from your in born talent, yet not applied for some reasons.
