No.  The double “Wars” in the title is not a typo.  There are wars going on between loyal fans of Star Trek and devotees of Star Wars.  There are divided camps of loyalty and it’s a clear divide too!  In fact, I wasn’t sure if I should post this but then I saw that kaylar had written a few posts about Star Trek, I figured it was safe.

I’m very pleased she published a post about Star Trek, the original series, because that’s really the only Star Trek episodes that interested me.  The other shows and movies that followed were fine but you know how it is when something gets woven into your childhood memories.  🙂

It’s strange. You would think a website that calls itself “Answers” is the first place one might look if they have questions. However, it’s not the first resource on my list. Started looking for something and was totally distracted because the search results led me to This site gives answers to questions that … to my surprise … I never imagined people would dare ask.

Is Star Trek better than Star Wars?

Seriously??! Somebody asked??

10 Reasons Why Star Trek is Better Than Star Wars

Why I like Star Trek Better…

1) Characters

There are people in Star Trek, not just ‘icons’.    We all know them.  We know how they talk and think and act.  And the plots are straight forward.

2) Plots

They are, as Gene Roddenberry wanted, ‘moral tales’.   They may be happening in a world that doesn’t exist, but what is happening is ‘real’.   We can take lessons from it.

3) Technology

Beam me up Scotty;   we all said that when we got our flip top cell phones.   We think of the Stunners when seeing Tasiers.   The Tech that came out in the 1960s was just around the corner in our world.

I like Star Trek better.  Period!  I’m such a loyal fan I didn’t even give Star Wars a chance. MY mind was made up right from the start. That’s why I was surprised the question was even asked.  (O.o)  🙂 😀
