@bestwriter PayPal charges fee and conversion both which will reduce your income by almost 7%. That means if you post 100 articles 7 will go in the account of PayPal.

@peachpurple TinyCent has already fixed the issue with PayPal and started paying to the members via PayPal. I have received my first payment, and now waiting for my second payment.

I agree that it would be better to go for direct bank transfer if possible, as paypay fee is quite high. I think it is USD $0.30 + 4.4%. I wonder why the fee from clixsense and mylot are different, could it be those sites absorb the fee?

@ Lee Ka  Even I have noticed the different fees rate for different sites. And I have also seen that few sites not charges fees at all. I wonder how those sites are managing it. I am glad that I am getting full amount from tiny cents via bank transfer. It is too bad to get cut in those earning in name of fees. Is those fees charging by paypal to them or to us?

@naruto100  I prefer the bank transfer from tinycent as that means no additional fees incurred and also no further waiting period for transfer of money from paypal to bank.

@shaloo walia I too feel the same although I thought it was risky but got convinced when I realised that the information that we are passing on is there on our cheque leaves which we dish out.

Just to update, I can’t access TinyCent now and my antivirus program keeps prompting me about the danger of accessing the site. Moreover, it hasn’t been sending out payments for a long time. So, it seems like the site is not working anymore and the owner has not make any announcement or give any updates since several issues happened with the website, most importantly the popup ads.

TinyCent was a site that worked quite well to me, as I can write my thoughts freely as I was in Bubblews, though the rate is lower. I sincerely hope the owner is trying to fix the issues he has with the site, and continue running the site. If he really decides to close down the site, he should at least let the members know.

Lee Ka , I have noticed your name and a few others on another site called Gotmatter that was mentioned by another member here on another post saying it was somehow involved with TinyCent. Do you know if these two sites are one in the same? You and  shaloo walia both have articles there. It seems that when someone goes to apply it tells them that their email is already in use.

If you don’t know about this isn’t this some type of fraud?

I wrote a post about Gotmatter on ForumCoin. It indeed is  data transfer from Tinycent.  We cannot participate nor delete those posts that belong to us.

bestwriter, I would consider that fraud and would try in my hardest to find out who owns the server that those sites are run off of and plead to them that the people running those sites are scammers and thieves. I guess depending on the country find out what can be done. Something can be done, especially if they have ads on those sites.

Gone were the days of happy writing and best earnings in TinyCent. After struggling for revival due to abuse and violation of the rule of its adverts provider particularly the Adsense, TC tried to create a similar site which copied and transferred all its posts. The site was named as GotMatter[dot]com. The TC writers were alarmed for such modus operandi without asking their permission. The said site remained too short. It had a shortlived span of existence. Nothing had been given justice to TC members who had been waiting for their unpaid cash-out and I was one of them.

Now, TC and its sister site GM couldn’t access anymore. Their page was unavailable. Worst is TC. Internet browser prompts the reader that the site is unsafe. It is invaded or being hacked and once it is forced to get in your personal data and everything that is connected to you are in great danger. TC members are all in vain. Hope for their cash out would be paid is left to oblivion. Practically and virtually, TinyCent is dead.

@nakitakona I did not know even their second site is finished. They messed it all up.

January 17, 2017 at 3:02 am

I guess that happens when the owner of the site had no real business plan to run the site. They should have never started out with high rates. I know from experience that ads do not pay the same worldwide. Ads pay different rates according to the country the person is from. Ads pay less from Asian countries than it does from The United States, Canada or England. The owner also didn’t have any safeguards up to prevent fraud from the users. I’m sure they were hounded with all kinds of bots and spam ware. It’s so much that can kill a site. The issue with the money is another problem they had. They didn’t expect to see that big of a return in members and thus had little money to pay out. When dealing with sites like these ones must either have money in reserve to pay members or inform the members they will start paying once they start getting paid by the ads. Most ads don’t pay until the site reaches at least $100 in their account.
