I often hear people say things like “I’m not in the mood”. Then they simply crawl back into their shells and do nothing. Do you sometimes do this? Or are you the type of person who doesn’t care what they feel in the morning they know they have to get up and work regardless?

I am not sure about the mood but there are times when I sit to write and my mind turns absolutely blank.

And at other times I have the whole article or story swirling about in my head so fast that I feel I have to sit down and pen my thoughts. I just cannot concentrate on anything else.

And sometimes when you are forcing yourself to write if you have a deadline the mind refuses to co-operate and words don’t flow. It is all very frustrating at that time.

Yes I am that person who does not has the luxury to work according to his mood. Every morning I have to get up and start my day ,no matter how am I feeling ,i am well or not because I know that without me every thing is going to be messed up.I follow my mood only for writing blogs and painting. If I am not feeling like writing or painting ,I just can not do it.

I agree with you.

I don’t know how else to call it except for mood. lol

But then again, there really are times when it is much easier to write and there are times when nothing seems to be coming in mind.

@ Manju

I think one way or another, we are all like you. There are things in life such as responsibilities and obligations which we simply cannot put aside. And regardless of how we feel, we still need to do them or else everything will come crumbling down on us.

Society really has a way of making us do things we really don’t want at the moment. It’s funny how sometimes we can set aside our passion but not our obligations.

We are on the same page here. I do everything irrespective of my mood, but I get cranky. One other thing I discovered with my mood swings is that I work even harder. I tend to be so much busier when moody. I guess it works for me well, unlike when I’m happy.

I always plans to come back here at LB. I always say that I will write a lot of topics because I want to take advantage of the no approval post thingy that I learned in here, yet I am not starting anything. When I am not in the mood, I am not in the mood. I am very stubborn and I can’t keep promises to myself. I always gets tired without starting anything. I guess it goes out about my attitude. If I don’t feel like doing it, i will not do it. No one can push me or unless with a great earning, lol.

I usually don’t let the mood dictate my way of doing things. And that does make me one step ahead of my mood. I have learned to manage my time most of the time. And when the mood affects the time being spent. It means I have to work on some other stuff to get even. So I make sure that the mood is not affecting my work routine. I am sure there are some of the people who do get affected with the mood quickly. And that has to be considered.

I guess it really does take a whole lot of discipline to really put oneself into something productive. I too often find myself planning and not doing what I’ve planned. In the end, it is me who suffers from it. I don’t want to blame my mood for something that needs to be done ASAP. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I wish I can be more aggressive when it comes to reaching my goals. There’s too many temptations around and I can’t seem to get them off my head. lol. I procrastinate, same as everyone. Hopefully, I can be better instead of waiting for “mood” or even the right time to do something.
