@scheng1  Interesting idea! I am all game for it. I will write a post on the topic and post the link here as and when it’s published.

@scheng1 As I said earlier also it is nothing but some of my real desires which I always wanted to but I know I will never achieve. However I have done it for the sake of daydreaming if nothing else. Here it is-

@sunil Yours really come with a twist.

The beginning part is as expected, since having a luxury vacation and a new car are something that millionaires love.

When I read about the strip club, I laugh out loud.

I think your wife will let you sleep outside the house if ever you go there.

I couldn’t remember if I had shared my link and I seem not to be getting much traffic to that post. Just in case my link went missing, here it is:

@thinker How did you get your post to embed so nicely here in the forum? That’s a very handy trick! I think it would be great if you could teach it to all of us. It should help to increase traffic to those posts 🙂

@ruby3881

I did not embed my post. Not even thought of that ever.

what I did was copied the link with http:// and pasted it in the format.

|| Type some Text ….

Hit “Enter” button 2 – 3 times

Type the link which copied above

Hit “Enter” button again 2 – 3 times

Type some text again … ||

Some pause and then submitted.

It showed as if embedding happened.

I think that the link should neither form the beginning nor the end and the link should be shown differently than the normal text.

I am not a technician to discuss exactly what happened but this might be a wordpress feature (This is a wordpress website after all).

Well I finally got my post approved and here is the link to the first post that I did for this challenge. I have it broke down into three which the third one I still need to write.

I am a little disappointed since the first post was over 500 words but still only received 15 cents for it. My second one is over 800 words and I received 22 cents for it. So I am not sure that I should have put that much effort into it. Maybe I did not do the SEO thing right or something. If anyone could give me some advice on how I could have done better please feel free to do that. I appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

@thinker Thank you so much for explaining what you did! Yes, it may be a WordPress feature, or it could be that the staff have installed a plugin like Embedly. If so, it would be good for @support or @admin to let us know. This is a feature that could really enrich the content of our posts.

I used Embedly on BlogJob, and really loved having that option. I could add visual content so easily by linking to a video or to a news article that had a good image. Having a few quality outgoing links in our posts is good for SEO too 🙂

Okay, here is my other link for my second post in the writing challenge. I am going to see if I can embed it like @thinker and @ruby3881 did in another forum.

Not sure what I did wrong but it did not work.

@morgoodie Try to remove the comment bit at the end of the URL next time.

Hopefully this will work 😀

Well that’s odd! I just embedded a link in another thread, and it worked fine…

May 30, 2016 at 4:30 am

@ruby3881  I thought maybe that had something to do with it too when I seen that after I posted in there. I will try it again.

ok I typed it in there this time maybe that will work.

May 30, 2016 at 4:35 am

Yay!!!! It worked. LOL  Okay I will try that from now on. Hope others can do this as well. I need to learn to do this on Twitter or how do you get the picture on the link there? I am just learning Twitter and it confuses me. I am technologically challenged. 🙂

@morgoodie If you want your images to show up better in most social media shares, choose a horizontal or landscape orientation. So the image needs to be wider than it is tall. (The only exception to this is Pinterest, but if you keep your images to 1200 x 600 pixels they’ll show up just fine.) This poor guy’s head gets chopped off in a lot of places, and he won’t display at all on some networks, because he’s too tall 🙁

As for getting images to show up on Twitter, I use Buffer. Will have to write up a tutorial for that too, I see…
