Dragon Ball Super – anime recommendation for you

Dragon Ball Super

This new anime that was released 3 years ago as a sequel to the original Dragon Ball Z storyline, placed in a timeline 10 years after the disposal of Majin Buu, and the events that took place on the Supreme Kai’s planet.

So basically Dragon Ball Super is a prolonged story of DBZ, with many new cool elements and animation, the creator of the anime (Akira Toriyama) wants to recreate the once famous photo of this anime and of course make some more profit by this anime that currently has 86 official episodes released.

There are many new characters, and the storyline in DBS (Dragon Ball Super) is more to display the Z-fighters, Earth, Son Goku.. in the eyes of the whole universe. Because it was revealed in the anime that there are 12 universes, and Earth is placed in the 7h universe.

At the beginning of the anime, the first few episodes we are introduced to some mightier and more powerful divines, such as Lord Beerus (God of Destruction) and his mentor and martial arts teacher, an angel that always accompanies him (Whis).

It was explained that in order to maintain a balance between the nature, the alive and dead, there has been created the function of a God of Destruction, that has the ability to destroy a person up to whole planets.

Goku and this destroyer meet when he arrives on Earth after waking up from his lucid dream, and explains that he had seen a vision in his dream of a powerful Super Saiyan God that could match his powers.

Anyways the adventures begins when Lord Beerus and Whis visit Earth more than often, lured by the delicious food that Bulma (the second main protagonist – Vegeta’s wife).

But are those frequent visits good for the sake of earth? Or will they bring even more trouble, such as new enemies from the other universes, and of course some old foes of Son Goku, that had been revived and came back to avenge their humiliation and defeat by Son Goku in the past.

The anime creators have in plan to release about 100 episodes of this serial and then finish it, and as I said I will repeat myself, there are currently 86 episodes out there. They come out on a weekly basis, usually every Sunday (except when there are festivities and holidays like Easter, New Year because animators have a life too.)

There are 2 arcs currently with 3 sagas in them. The first arc is named Gods of the Universe arc as I explained above what it introduces us into, and has 2 sagas placed in this arc

– God of Destruction Beerus saga
– Golden Frieza saga

And the current ongoing arc has 3 sagas placed in it

-Universe 6 saga
-Future Trunks saga
-Universe survival saga
