Buying apparel and returning them after using!

Buying apparel and returning them after using!

today at work, my coworkers what tellin gus how clar she was, she bought some dresses, good not pricey not cheap either, apparel she can not really afford since she had big family to take care of, any way, she bought the apparel and used them few times and then went to the store telling them that she want to return them since they are not the same size, and exchange them with other apparel or foods or what ever she needs

first I was laughing at her and with her of course, but when I thought about I find it immoral to do it, even if they saw the apparel and there was nothing worng with ti, its yet not right to do that, people go to the shops to buy news clothes not used one, yes we all know that sometimes when you are in need you do things you may not like, but she was happy to do it without the store know about it, so she was not shy nor sorry to do it, I guess if she at least told them that she used it once, and they agreed to return then its so good for both side but that way is not.

why to go to the store in the first place if you can not afford it, is that the window shopping thing, I guess it is, that should not happen, window shopping is not good and encourage people to buy things they do not really need or aford

I can not advise her to not do that, since she did not ask for advise and we are not close friends to have the advantage of telling her the truth about her behavior I just pray that she will feel one day that this wrong and sotp it

    • i think in the US this practiced as long as the tag are still intact. Some do it. They buy the dress and use it without removing the tag and then return it after use.

I even heard a story from my classmate that they return items even if they had already used it for several years. I'm sure if this is true.

But here in our country, I don't think it is practiced. But the SM Stores I think allows returns or exchange within a particular time frame and if you have the receipt as proof of purchase.

    • Good point, I guess also shops know people can do that and if they allow them , that is fair enough , both agrees on the same thing. Then let all be happy, thanks for the input it really make me see the behaviour from different angel. again thanks Ruby and nice to add you also as a friend

    • yes people here do it all the time, i dont like it but as you say if they accept then its there business

    • That is not nice of her to do so. I return if I do not fit the item, or no longer like the item but never wear to go return afterwards. I just resale items I do not like..

    • Generally, youngsters do such things and enjoy them. They do not feel bad about such things. That is why we call them teenagers. They like everything and if they do not get them try to follow some method to own them. It depends on their intelligence. It shows how they really execute a plan to achieve their goal.

Once, their passion or desire for such thing is satiated they feel to think what they did is about. They need not be tutored as most of them nowadays are more social and educated. They will learn for themselves or through their friends when they reveal such things to others.

I really would like to know what other such things these people would do.

      • amazingly true, they do that , but yea they will learn win they grow older the wrong and right, if they find some good people around them to teach them the right from the wrong, and we have to be patient with them until then, thanks and welcome to my post I like that the comment was unbiased, and how respectfully you post it

    • Yes people ought not take advantage of honesty of shopkeepers and their customer centric approach to take advantage and exploit them.

      • you are absolutely right , they take advantage but i feel that they are not fooling any body since business think of all the surrounding to their sales, so i do not a buisness who made big sale and has branches in all the places, will mis this issue, so maybe they sacrifies this for the sake of regular buyers or they do not care for both buyers. they just want to sell maybe? I don not thing they put the good intention, they are fooling us the honest buyers

    • I think the stores should be more strikt with people like that, that is the only way to stop them so we do not buy used dresses or clothes or anything that become used while we think its still new, anyway thanks for the post that pays attention

      • i dont think big stores will mis such a thing, so whay they allow it? i do not know but i guess that they want to make it easy for us to change the clothes that we want to exchange it

    • Most stores allow customers to return the apparel within 14 days, whether used or not but reasons must be given and original packing is a must.

Although I don't such thing often, only once I bought a dress for my daughter but she couldn't fit in, I returned in original packing within 7 days with the receipt and allowed to exchange any item of the same price
