    • I agree that sleep is very important. Many years ago now I had a bout of severe insomnia and was literally going mad. The doctor kept refusing to give me sleeping pills as he said they were addictive. Finally he gave in and I slept and began to recover in more ways than one. He only gave me three pills as I remember. It was the first night that was key. After that the pattern was broken anyway and I got some normal sleep.

      Now I am very careful to make sure I get a good night's sleep as often as I can.

    • Insomnia is really made people going mad, can't agree more. I wake up in the mid of sleep and can sleep back, made me crazy too.
      Luckily it doesn't recur currently.
      Life is too busy, I think those modern working people in the urban area always has not enough sleep. I have 8 hours to 9 hours sleep, so have no enough time for working for money, really a dilemma. Haha!
      @michelle, what about you?
      @harpreet singh, dear Lion has another topic, see.. :P

    • Human needs to sleep at least 8 hours every day. Our body cannot work well with the lack of sleep. Proper Bed Positioning is essential in achieving the best sleep for the night. If we practice this proper positioning, we can also incorporate the proper body mechanics.

      The sleeping pattern usually changes because of lifestyle and occupation. That's the reason why some people don't prefer to work n call center companies. There are so many illnesses will come out while working in these companies. We need to choose what's best for us. However, some people don't have the choice and they need to survive.

    • it is true that one should have at least 8 hours of sleep, kids should have at least 10 hours but for school age kids, like my boy who is 10 years old, he has 7 hours of sleep because he sleeps late at 10pm, wakes up at 5am for school

    • Kids needs at least 10 hours of sleep. Growing up teenagers at least 8 hours. For matured people they need at least 7 hours.

      I am good with 7 hours already. But when I only sleep for 6 hours for 2 consecutive days, on the second day i would be lethargic and so sleepy the whole day.

      To combat that, I would take an early lunch at 10:00 a.m. at the office. At 12:00 -1:00 , our lunch break , I would take 15 minute nap. Even if I won't be able to nap, taking note of my inhaling and exhaling deeply with my eyes closed, I would be refreshed after that. No sleepy afternoon. Though at night, my sleepiness would set in which is good because I really get to sleep tightly.

    • Sleep can be elusive. There are times that I do not sleep many hours and I know that it's due to my consuming coffee and tea. I try to put it in balance but working nights, I need to stay awake. To combat this, I take natural supplements. One in particular is Melotomin. This helps me. Another that I would recommend but, please check with your doctor, is Chamomile. It is a tea that is good for the stomach, relaxes your muscles and gives you a good night rest. I don't have anything against medication but my complaint is the side effects. I prefer natural herbs and supplements because, for the most part, they have no side effects. Anyway, that is my input for the day.

    • Sleep is important. Nowadays many youngsters do not have sufficient hours of sleep. They spend a lot of time on computer, cell phones. I try to get at least six hours sleep. In case I do not have sleep--during travel I use to feel very bad. good day
